Death Stranding 2 is the next installment of Kojima’s well received but also incredibly confusing game franchise that has you running around delivering cargo all across the map. At a certain point in the game, you will progress past Mexico and reach a completely different area. If you are wondering whether you can go back to the previous area, this guide should help you out with that.

How To Get Back To Mexico In Death Stranding 2

If you have reached a different continent in the game, you will probably start wondering whether or not you can go back to the previous region that you were in. Well, you are in luck, because it is completely possible to do so.

If you have other stuff you want to complete back in Mexico, you can do so by returning to the plate gate and just walking through it to get teleported back to the previous area. Take note that you cannot take certain items with you as you cross through the plate gate.

Later in the game, you can supposedly travel there much faster after completing a certain order. Early on, though, when you have just arrived in Australia for the first time, crossing through the plate gate is going to be your only option to go back to the last region.

And that is everything you need to know when it comes to this particular mechanic. Again, make sure that you are not carrying anything exclusive to the continent, such as quest items and whatnot. They cannot be taken with you, as far as we are aware.

While you are here, take a peek at our guide on how to rest in Death Stranding 2 so you can give the main character a quick breather after a long day of running around with heavy boxes on their back. You will need to do this frequently, so you may as well learn how to do it as early as possible.
