You should look out for Malfunctioning Harvesters you can destroy as you explore the Golden Rye Fields in Throne & Liberty.

These Harvesters are the failed results of trying to use clumsy magic to protect the fields. Since they serve no purpose at all, it would be quite helpful if you just got rid of them. This is one of the many Exploration Codex tasks in the game, too, so you’ll get rewarded for it!

In this short guide, we’ll help you complete this objective for the “The Once-Peaceful Rye Fields” Exploration Codex.

How to Destroy the Malfunctioning Harvesters | Golden Rye Pastures Exploration Codex

You can find the Malfunctioning Harvesters you need to destroy in Throne & Liberty all over the Golden Rye Pastures area. The image above shows an example of one of them. They look similar to scarecrows, but they are burnt and seem to have smoke coming out of them. They also don’t move at all, unlike the Violent Harvesters!

Once you find one of these Malfunctioning Harvesters, target it and attack it. It will instantly break down from a single hit, no matter what weapon you use. If you don’t want to risk getting close to hostile mobs in the area, ranged weapons like the Longbow are a solid choice here.

Either way, just attack the Malfunctioning Harvester to break it. This will complete the “Destroy the Malfunctioning Harvesters” objective for the “The Once-Peaceful Rye Fields” Exploration Codex in Throne & Liberty!

If you need more help finding them, use the map above as a reference. It marks some of the known spawn points for Malfunctioning Harvesters. However, as we said, they’re pretty common all over the Golden Rye Fields.

But well, there you have it, that’s all you need to do to complete the “Destroy the Malfunctioning Harvesters” task. It’s one of the simplest Exploration Codex tasks in the game, all things considered. For an example of a much more involved task, check out our guide on the “Seven Monument Stones“ Exploration Codex!

Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
