Quest 12 is one of the last few quests in Persona 5 Tactica, and it has a challenge to match its endgame status!
This challenging quest requires you to basically only use one character to win, so it requires a different approach than most of the other quests in the game.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to overcome this challenge, taking it step-by-step!
How To Complete Quest 12 | Learning From a Pro
Quest 12 is a bit of an odd one due to its map’s gimmick. But first, let’s go over what your party will be for this quest!
Joker and Erina are the two locked members for this quest, so you only get to freely choose your third party member.
The truth of it, however, is that Erina and the third member don’t matter much, due to the map gimmick we mentioned previously.
The gimmick is that the map has red and blue pillars, which can be raised and lowered by pressing the corresponding button.
Erina will be in charge of pressing the red button, while the third party member will be pressing the blue button.
We’ll be going with Makoto for our third party member. But really, pick whoever you want, just make sure they have an upgraded weapon to boost the Triple Threat finisher!
Using the buttons and pillars, you’ll need to get Joker to the far end of the map, as shown here. Get as many “1 More” extra turns as you can to be able to move Joker!
Now, let’s dive into the step-by-step guide for this quest.
Every Step to Complete Quest 12 in Persona 5 Tactica
Start the quest by moving Joker forward so that he stands on the red floor.
Now, switch over to Erina and move her so she pushes the big red button.
This is basically what she’ll be doing the whole quest, just walking back and forth to push the button, so we’ll keep it short moving forward!
Anyway, the red pillar Joker is on will raise and give him access to the upper floor. Move him off the red pillar and position him next to the closest enemy.
Now, have Erina press the red button again.
Use Joker to do a standard melee attack on the enemy he’s next to.
Now position Joker on top of the next red pillar, he should be south of the enemy on the pillar.
Switch over to Makoto and have her push the big blue button. Just like Erina, this is all she’ll be doing this quest! It’s Joker’s showtime, after all.
Take control of Joker again and use a melee attack on the enemy he’s close to. This should push them over an empty hole, bounce them on the wall, and land them on the central platform.
Have Makoto press the blue button now, then place Joker atop the blue pillar that raised in front of him.
Next, have Erina press the red button to bring up a red pillar with an enemy in front of Joker.
Place Joker to the side of the enemy on this red pillar and use a melee attack, they should land on the blue pillar you were on just now.
Halfway Through
Continue moving Joker forward so that he’s off the red pillar, then have Erina push the red button yet again. She’s a button-pushing pro by now!
This will raise another red pillar in front of Joker, with yet another enemy. Push them in the direction you’re going and they will smack into another enemy close to a wall.
Now, notice that there’s an enemy in front of Joker and to his right that’s hiding in cover. Get behind them and use your melee attack to push them out of cover.
Keep moving forward and approach this enemy close to the waist-high wall. Give them a good smack with your standard melee attack.
Remember that one enemy we left behind with full health previously? Position Joker so that he’s overlooking that enemy and use your gun to shoot them, damaging them and earning you another turn.
Make Erina push the big red button again to bring up another red pillar in front of Joker, with yet another enemy standing on it.
Get behind the enemy and give them a good smack, they should hit another enemy close to the tall wall with the ladder.
Finishing Up and Using Triple Threat
Only one button push left! Have Makoto push the blue button to raise the final pillar, allowing Joker to reach the nearby ladder.
Climb the ladder and overlook the enemies directly below Joker.
There should be one with nearly full HP left, so shoot them up to weaken them.
It’s time to set up the Triple Threat attack!
Place Joker as far back as possible, and also position Erina and Makoto as close to the corners as possible.
Once you can see that every enemy is inside your Triple Threat area of effect, execute the attack. This should defeat any remaining enemies and complete the quest!
