If you wish to unlock new zones and progress in Skate 4, you’ll need to complete Goals from any Challenge. That’s simple enough… if you figure out what the game actually wants you to do! The wording in the game can be a bit obtuse sometimes, especially due to its use of odd symbols mixed with text. In this simple guide, we’ll tell you exactly what you need to do to open more zones.
How to Complete Challenge Goals and Unlock Zones | Skate 4

Now, let’s start with the basics. When the game asks you to “Complete Challenge Goals”, you should make sure to pay attention to the symbols it uses. For example, you can see that the unlock conditions for Gullcrest Village have an icon of a yellow hexagon and an icon for a group of people. These symbols are also used in certain missions, such as “Stop, Quick Drop, and Roll”.

That means that you can make progress toward these unlocks by simply completing any regular or co-op Goals in any Challenge. You can see the Goals whenever you check a Challenge on your map. They are also shown on the top left of the screen while you’re actively participating in the challenge.
Generally speaking, nearly every challenge has 3 to 4 Goals and 1 Co-Op Goal. They mostly involve things such as making sure all players participate in a stunt, reaching score milestones, and nailing specific tricks.
The neat thing here is that you don’t actually need to fully complete the Challenge, either. You just need to complete the Goals! They all count toward your overall progress. So, you don’t need to keep retrying a specific Goal in a Challenge if you find it too hard.
Though, do keep in mind, the game is currently in Early Access! There are lots of players who report that the game isn’t properly registering their Goals for unlocks, sadly. Since there seems to be nothing a player can do to fix that, we hope it gets patched soon.
Nonetheless, in summary, you just need to participate in Challenges in Skate 4 and complete their various Goals to unlock new zones. It’s that simple!
