How To Build More Mining Outposts | The Alters
You can build more Mining Outposts at any time from within your base. All you need to do is to head over to your Workshop and interact with its main terminal. It costs 30 Enriched Metals to build and takes exactly 2 in-game hours to build. Conveniently, this crafting recipe is also available from the very start. You get it as soon as you get your first Workshop up and running.
Now, with that said, note that it’s important that you build these outposts before you actually need them. If you don’t have a Mining Outpost when you need it during exploration, you’ll need to return to your base to make it. This can be a waste of precious time in this game, so be prepared!
This is especially true if you’re still early in the game and are making a long trip. For example, the one to the Minerals Deposit during Act 1. It’s decently far from the base, so going to it without a Mining Outpost ready can be a huge waste of time. In short, make sure you’re ready before you go out.
