You’ll get the objective to acquire Ichiro’s Key right after you meet Ichiro’s sister-in-law, Takako. Regardless of how you decide to deal with her, look for the building on the eastern part of the estate after your conversation with Takako. You should notice it has a blue glow on it, if you Observe.

Crawlspace Location

Go around that building’s back and you should notice a hole. You can crawl through the hole if you get into a prone position, allowing you to enter a hidden section below the building.

Pick up Ichiro's Key

As you might’ve guessed, Ichiro’s Key is right there on the floor below the building. Crawl up to it and pick it up.

Once you’ve picked up the key, go back to Ichiro’s gravesite at the Tennoji Temple. It’s where you met the stray dog earlier. You’ll find that the stray dog has dug up a box there, which you can open with Ichiro’s Key. Open the box to get a conclusion to Ichiro’s story and get Tsuki-maru, the stray dog, as a pet!

That’s all you need to do to acquire Ichiro’s Key during the “Thrown to the Dogs” quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This quest takes place around Tennoji Temple, so we recommend checking out our guide on Tennoji Temple’s Lost Pages while you’re at it. Collecting all 3 of them will give you 1 Knowledge Point.
