With another update of Honkai Star Rail comes even more content to discover and complete, whether it be random puzzles and collectibles in the world or brand new quests to finish. In this guide, we will be going through each puzzle in the Janus’ Maze quest, which is fairly simple, though they might be confusing for some of you out there.
All Puzzle Solutions for the Janus’ Maze Quest
Janus’ Maze is a fairly simple quest that will have you running around following markers on your map. The only real challenge with this one is the fact that you will be solving a set of puzzles throughout the entire quest.
The premise of each puzzle is simple. All you need to do is rotate the box until the ball falls out of it. In case you accidentally closed the tooltip at the very first one, you just press and hold the button to rotate the maze, and then let go of it to let it spin in the opposite direction.
With all of that in mind, let us go through each of the puzzles. We will keep it relatively simple and just leave special notes for those that have additionalmechanics to consider, which will happen in later puzzles:
Janus’ Maze Puzzles #1 to #4
For the first few puzzles, there is not much to think about. However, there are a few with moving pieces that you will have to play around.
For puzzle #2, there will be twowalls that are moving back and forth. All you need to do is be a bitpatient with it. Wait for an opportunity to slip past them and drop the ball down to the exit. You cannot get stuck in here, so there will be no need to reset if you think you messed up.
After that, all of the others in this section are incredibly straightforward and should be done in no time at all.
Janus’ Maze Puzzles #5 – #8
The same logic applies to this set of puzzles as well, as with all of the others, really. One thing to note is that in puzzle #7, there will be three moving platforms.
For that one, all you need to do is be patient and wait for an opportunity to land on the green highlighted platform. From there, you will want to rotate the board to land on the yellow highlighted platform. After that, you just need to shuffle over to the exit once the path is open.
For puzzle #8, it can be a bit finnicky, but do not be fooled by the opening below the starting zone. You cannot spin the puzzle box enough to drop it there. Instead, get the ball over to the other side and just keep spinning it until you can fit it through the small openings and quickly turn again to make it fall.
Janus’ Maze Puzzles #9 to #11
For this last set, only two of them have anything special going on. For puzzle #9, all you need to do is wait for the moving platform to be in a spot that lets you roll it off the exit. Plain and simple.
For puzzle #11, there is a long wall that spins along with the box, which makes this the most annoying one to navigate as it will keep knocking the ball around too. Just try your best to get it from the starting zone to the other side (red box highlight).
Once you have the ball on the other side, just roll it up to the opposite end and keep trying to roll it from the rotating wall to the exit. With a bit of nudging, you can even get it to roll off without relying on the spinning wall in the middle.
After the final puzzle, just follow the quest markers back and forth as you will need to talk to a couple of NPCs. Once all of that is done, the quest should now be completed and you will be rewarded with 5000 credits, along with whatever other bits of loot you got with each puzzle step and interactions throughout it.
