The new “Sanctum of Prophecy” Janusopolis area in Honkai: Star Rail 3.1 has a particularly hard Golden Scapegoat puzzle.

This puzzle gives you a total of 10 moves to manage before the past self appears. You need to really be careful with your timing so that you don’t waste any moves or you might simply be unable to reach the altar to solve the puzzle. As you might know, the more moves you get, the easier it is to make mistakes!

Fret not, though. Read on and we’ll help you easily reach and solve this hard Golden Scapegoat Puzzle!

Hard Sanctum of Prophecy Janusopolis Golden Scapegoat Solution | Honkai: Star Rail 3.1

You can find this hard Golden Scapegoat puzzle in the “Sanctum of Prophecy” Janusopolis area. It’s directly north of the “Archive of Prophecies” Space Anchor. Note, however, that you will first need to solve the nearby “Blockage Unsealed” Prophecy Tablet puzzle to reach the Golden Scapegoat.

If you need help with the “Blockage Unsealed” Prophecy Tablet, first grab the right-angled triangle on the leftmost part of the tablet. Place it so that it covers the top-right tip of the background drawing, as shown above.

Then, grab the quadrilateral smack dab in the middle of the tablet and use it to cover the left side of the drawing.

Grab the remaining quadrilateral and place it over the middle of the drawing. It should look like the image above.

Next, place the lone diamond in the bottom right of the drawing. It’ll hollow out a large chunk of the quadrilateral you just moved, giving you a triangle-shaped hollow.

To finish up, grab the remaining right-angle triangle on the rightmost side of the tablet and place it over the triangular hollow. This should finish up the drawing, solving the Prophecy Tablet!

With that done, follow the magic light released from the Prophecy Tablet to the door upstairs.

The door will open, revealing a room with two chests and the hard Golden Scapegoat puzzle. Even reaching it was hard, honestly, that was a fairly tricky Prophecy Tablet! Nonetheless, you now just need to walk up to it and interact to start the puzzle proper.

Solving the Golden Scapegoat Puzzle

This Golden Scapegoat puzzle, fitting its difficulty, gives us 10 moves before the shadow self appears. Input the following directions: left, left, left, right, right, right, right, right, left, left.

By doing this, you will be standing on the blue plate the moment the past self appears.

As soon as this happens, go right once and then go up and down the ladder repeatedly until the past self reaches the blue plate. It should look like the image above.

Once this happens, move to the right twice. You will step on the blue platform as it appears and then drop down to the bottom section of the puzzle.

To finish, just go all the way left. The past self will stop once it steps on the blue plate again, allowing you to reach the altar. Walk up to it and light it up!

So, there you have it, that’s how to solve this particularly hard Golden Scapegoat puzzle in the “Sanctum of Prophecy” Janusopolis area in Honkai: Star Rail 3.1. If you still haven’t, you should also solve the Golden Scapegoat puzzles in the “Abyss of Fate” Janusopolis area.
