Bizarre Melody is a type of puzzle introduced in Planarcadia during Version 4.0 of Honkai: Star Rail. As opposed to solving traditional riddles or combat challenges, this type of puzzle can be found during Interplanar Jump and involves inputting the right music sequences into musical devices.
The gist is pretty simple. You find a music toy and input a sequence of 8 directions as a code to play a song. Do it right and you’ll unlock hidden routes, achievements, treasure chests, secret stages, and extra rewards.
Of course, finding the codes themselves is the hard part! Which is why in this guide, I’ll tell you all of the codes and where to use them.
World’s End Tavern – Interplanar Jump! Difficulty I
The first Bizarre Melody Music Score most players encounter is the one at Interplanar Jump! Difficulty I in the “World’s End” Tavern. You should get to this one during the “Medical Disputes on the Ship of Fools” Trailblaze Mission.
Since this one serves as a tutorial, you don’t really need to think much! In fact, you’re told the Bizarre Melody code directly. The clip below shows the location and the Bizarre Melody code.
In this case, you’ll get the code for “Disco 1999”: ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← ← → →. Input this code and you’ll be able to do the Interplanar Jump platforming section.
However, you can actually input a second code in this same spot. As shown in the clip below, you just need to return and input the code in reverse.
For this, you need to input the following: → → ← ← ↓ ↓ ↑ ↑. This will give you the “Disco at World’s End” Bizarre Melody instead, and unlocks a secret section of Interplanar Jump! Difficulty I.
Doverbrook District – Interplanar Jump! Difficulty V
This is where the system starts to get more cryptic. You can find the next spot for Bizarre Melody within Interplanar Jump! Difficulty V at Doverbrook District.

Instead of giving you the answer directly, the game hides clues using emoji patterns positioned like a directional pad.
To reveal this one naturally, use the warp gate above the start of the Interplanar Jump puzzle. Follow the path all the way to the right to reveal some emojis on the wall that are set like a D-pad, then cross-reference the emojis along the stage’s background with that to reveal the music score.
To simplify things, though, you can just follow the video below. It will show you the location of the Bizarre Melody and its code.
In this case, you’ll need to input the code for “Doverbrook Neon Dance Music”: ↖ → → → ↘ ↙ ↙ ↗.
Duomension City – Interplanar Jump! Difficulty III
For this one, you need to enter Interplanar Jump! Difficulty III in Duomension City. Then, go all the way to the right using the warp gates until you reach the Bizarre Melody spot.
Refer to the video below:
This time around, the code you have to input is “Duomension City Grand Carnival”: ↑ ↗ ↙ ↘ → ↖ ↓ ↖. You get this code from playing the “The Wispae Waiting for Money to Fall From the Sky” minigame with Oris in Duomension City.
Graphia Academy – Interplanar Jump! Difficulty III
For this one, go to the Interplanar Jump! Difficulty III stage in the middle of Graphia Academy. Go through the 2D platforming stage as normal, paying attention to the arrows on the background to form the music code.
To keep things simple, as I like to do, just follow the video below for the platforming and code.
This time around, the code is “Campus R&B”: → ↓ ↗ ↑ ↑ ↑ → ↓. It’s a lot simpler than the others, since you get it through the stage itself.
First Stop: Jokeville
This is one of the best hidden melodies in the entire system.
For this one, you first need to complete all 4 Star Rabbit challenges. Each one has a different part of the code at the end of their levels.
When you put this in the order the Star Rabbit challenges appear in, you get the code for “First Stop: Jokeville”: ↑ ↗ → ↑ ↙ ↓ ↘ ↙. You can input this into any of the Bizarre Melody toys, as shown in the next video.
This will take you to a brand new secret area, completing the “Best Friends’ Secret Base” Achievement! There will also be a chest here if you have already gotten all “Arcadia Variation” Achievements already.
That’s all of the Bizarre Melody Music Score codes in Honkai: Star Rail 4.0! You now just need to go play them all out. I hope this helped you with the tedious process of uncovering them all!
