Genshin Impact: The Lotus Leaf and the Champion Guide

The latest update of Genshin Impact (4.8) added a completely new region to the game called Simulanka which will be available for a limited time. The region comes with its own set of quests that players can partake in.

One of the quests is called The Lotus Leaf and the Champion and this guide will provide you with a complete walkthrough of how to get it done.

The Lotus Leaf and the Champion

When you unlock the new Simulanka region, this quest will become available. To get started, head to the area marked in the image below.

Once you get there, you will find a frog with an exclamation mark (shown in the image below). Simply get close to this frog and you will get a cutscene which will start this quest.

This quest can be divided into two parts. The first part consists of a couple of challenges that you need to complete and the second part is mostly one minigame. Let’s get started with the first part:

1st Part of the Quest

In the beginning part of the quest, there are two frogs which will each give you a challenge to complete. You can talk to the frogs in any order you want.

Excited Paper Frog Challenge

The Excited Paper Frog is located on the left side of the quest starting location. It is pretty easy to spot and will have a quest marker on top of it as you can see in the image below.

Get close and interact with it. After talking to it, you will get a challenge in which you need to make a paper frog hop to a certain location.

To do so, you will need to grab the frog’s magic thread by pressing E and then moving around your character to correct the projectile area. After pressing the attack button, the frog will hop to the projected area. In case of confusion, refer to the image below.

Now that you know how to use the frog hopping mechanism, simply make it hop to the location shown below.

Once you do that, a new path to your right will open up and just like before, make the paper frog hop to the location marked in the image below.

After you are done with that, talk to the Excited Paper Frog once again and this challenge will be completed. Now move on to the next challenge.

Calm Frog Challenge

The Calm Frog is located on the right side of the quest starting location. Make your way there and talk to the Calm Frog.

After talking to it, you will get a challenge in which you need to save the lotus leaf from getting hit by the waterspouts. Pressing F will lower the waterspouts.

So when the lotus leaf gets closer to the waterspouts, simply press F to lower them. You are allowed to take 2 hits in this challenge.

Once the lotus leaf is clear of all 3 waterspouts, talk to Calm Frog and this challenge will be done.

2nd Part of the Quest

After completing the challenges of Excited Paper Frog and Calm Frog, a new quest marker will show up. Make your way there by going through the path marked in the image below.

You will find several purple auras that will give you jump boosts. With their help, make your way to the top. Once you get to the location shown below, simply climb the wall behind the structure to get to its top.

When you get to the top of the above-shown structure, you will get a cutscene.

Faurobert Frog

Once the cutscene is over, get down from the structure and go to the frog shown below. This frog is called Faurobert and you need to talk to it.

After talking to Faurobert, simply follow it and you will reach a lotus leaf platform which is marked below. Get on top of this lotus leaf platform.

You will receive a cutscene here and once the cutscene is over, a waterspout minigame will get started.

Waterspout Minigame

In this minigame, you need to save your lotus flower platform from touching the waterspouts. Pressing F will lower the waterspouts when you are close to them. This is similar to Calm Frog’s challenge but this time you are actually on top of the lotus flower. You are allowed to take 6 hits.

Once your short journey on the lotus flower is completed, you will get a final cutscene and when it is finished. This quest will be marked completed and you will get your rewards.
