During your time in Genshin Impact‘s newest expansion, you’ll run into a ton of different quests scattered throughout the game’s new areas. While some of these quests are generic and very basic, there are a lot of unique quests that are very different from most of the quests you might have seen before.

In this guide, we will be looking at the “Stride on Rainbows Split the Waves” quest. This quest is in no way the most difficult quest in the game, but it can be a bit tricky to complete as it requires you to complete a series of objectives that are very different from each other.

Stride on Rainbows Split the Waves Guide

Map location of where Rongo is

You can start this quest through Rongo, a character that can be found in the Ameyalco Waters area in Natlan. The image above shows the exact location you need to go to find Rongo.

Completing this quest will require you to help Rongo with a series of different objectives. Our guide will be looking at what these objectives are, and how you can complete them. All of the objectives in this quest are centered around helping Rongo prepare his training area.

There are also a lot of objectives here that will require you to go through water to complete them. This shouldn’t be an issue for this quest as you can use Spiritway’s to do all of these objectives.

Objective #1 – “Help Rongo Chase The Flowcurrent Birds Away”

the Flowcurrent birds you need to knock off

For your first objective, you will need to help Rongo clear his training area of the pesky little Flowcurrnt Birds. To clear out these birds, you will need to jump onto them, yes that’s right jump onto them. Unlike most birds, the Flowcurrent Birds don’t care that you are close to them. The only thing that will manage to scare them away is you jumping to them.

There are a total of 6 Flowcurrent birds that you will need to clear to progress this quest. After you’ve cleared the area of these birds, make your way back to Rongo for your next quest objective.

Objective #2 – “Complete The Surfing Fest”

For this objective, you will need to complete a run through Rongo’s training ground. While you are doing the course, you will also need to collect a total of 25 orange particles. You will have 10 minutes to complete this full course, which is more than enough time.

The particles in this course will come in a sequence, so they will determine what your path needs to be in this course. Collecting all 25 particles will complete this objective.

Objective #3 – “Look Around Nearby For a Way to Repair The Spiritdoors”

After completing the course, you can get your next objective by talking to Rongo. For this objective, you will need to look around for a way to repair the Spiritdoors. The first thing that you will need to do here is collect 3 Shiny Seashells. Rongo will give you the first seashell that you will need, which will leave just 2 more for you to collect.

The next seashell can be picked up from on top of the surfboard in front of the dock Rongo is standing on.

the cliff you need to climb on

To get the final Shiny Seashell, you will need to climb all the way to the top of the tall cliff behind Rongo. The third Shiny Seashell and the place where you can use these seashells are both at the top of this cliff.

When you get to the top of the cliff, you’ll find a small group of enemies standing in front of a large painted rock. Quickly defeat these enemies and interact with the painted rock to get your final seashell. You can then place these seashells onto the rock to complete this objective.

Like before, make your way back to Rongo to get the next objective for this quest. Before you go down though, make sure you loot the chest right in front of the painted rock. Genshin’s latest update adds a ton of new chests scattered throughout the game’s new areas. You can check out our Luxurious Chest location in Natlan guide for a chest packed with items.

Objective #4 “Check on The Great Training Area of The Springs”

After you tell Rongo about what you found at the top of the cliff, he will ask you to come back to him the next day as he needs some time to fully prepare his training ground. You can just skip to the next day here and talk to him then to progress the quest.

The last course you need to clear

When you go to him the next day, he will tell you that the training ground is fully complete and ready. He will then ask you to go through the full training ground course using a Spiritway.

Like before, you will need to go through a full course and collect a bunch of particles while you are on the course. This time though, you will need to collect 120 particles and will have just 5 minutes to collect all of them. The course is a more advanced version of the previous one you went on and has a bunch of new obstacles that you will need to go through.

That said, the course is still not that hard to do if you are good at using a Spiritway. Even if you are not that good at using a Spiritway, it shouldn’t take you very long to get used to them as they are insanely quick on water and have amazing mobility on it.

Once you’ve completed the full course, you can go back to Rongo to finish the full quest and claim your rewards for it.
