Genshin Impact: How to Unlock the Under the Umbrella’s Shade Domain | Sumeru

The 3.0 update in Genshin Impact is undoubtedly huge, so it’s only natural that we’ll get to see new domains in the new Sumeru region. One of these new domains is Under the Umbrella’s Shade which you can find in the northern part of Sumeru near Mawtiyima Forest.

However, before you can even get to enter the domain, you first need to unlock it. In this guide, I’ll show you just how you can do that.

How to Unlock the Under the Umbrella’s Shade Domain in Genshin Impact

It’s worth noting that this domain is a bit special as it’s one-time only. This means that you can only obtain the rewards once after clearing the Universal Fungus challenge inside.

In order to unlock Under the Umbrella’s Shade, you will need to activate five pillars that you can find around its entrance. However, you will need to use the new element, Dendro, to do so. This means that you have to use a character with that power.

Luckily, the game will reward you with the Traveler at the start of your adventure.

After switching to your Dendro character, you’ll only notice pillars at the entrance of the domain. The fifth one is actually hidden behind a rock which you can discern by a green glow on its side. To reveal it, you have to pick up the Dendrograna plant in the water, aim at the green glow on the side of the huge rock, and fire at it.

The rock should then explode shortly after, revealing the location of the fifth pillar. Afterward, you need to activate the pillars in a specific order. To make it easier, you want to climb up the huge platform in the middle. From there, you have to shoot at a pillar with a glowing sigil at the bottom.

Just keep doing this until you have activated all five pillars. This will then unlock the Under the Umbrella’s Shade domain shortly after.
