Genshin Impact: How to Light the 4 Torches in Abdju Pit | Lost in the Sands Quest Guide

The new 3.1 update in Genshin Impact has brought forth a number of amazing stuff to explore and quest to complete. One such quest is the Lost in the Sands quest which is the very first quest of the Golden Slumber questline.

At one point in the quest, you will arrive at the Abdju Pit which contains a cube mechanism that you need to activate. However, you will need to solve the puzzle in the room first.

In this guide, I’ll show you how to do just that.

How to Light the 4 Torches in Abdju Pit | Lost in the Sands Quest Guide in Genshin Impact

The puzzle in question involves lighting up the four torches that you can find in the room. While that might sound straightforward enough, there’s actually a bit of a twist for the final torch.

You start by hitting the torches with a Pyro attack using a Pyro character such as Amber. Then, once you have lit up the first three torches, the fourth one won’t light up normally by just hitting it with a Pyro attack.

In fact, it won’t look similar to the other torches at all as it has an Electro-themed appearance to it. At the same time, you’ll find a Tri-Yana Seed flying around in the room. What you need to do is switch to an Electro character such as Sara and hit the creature with an Electro attack.

This will transform it into a slightly larger version with a more prominent glow.

This will also cause the final torch to look like a normal torch similar to the previous ones. After that, you can switch back to your Pyro character. You can now proceed to hit the final torch with a Pyro attack. This will then unlock the Exquisite Chest in the middle of the room, allowing you to loot it.

Now, if you happened to hit the creature with another element, it will knock it unconscious. Luckily, you can wake it up by simply hitting it with a Dendro attack. After lighting up all four torches, you can then proceed to activate the cube and continue your progress with the quest.
