Collei is one of the newest characters that were introduced in Genshin Impact 3.0. However, she has been making an appearance in the Genshin Impact manga for quite some time. This made her more hyped compared to the other Dendro characters that were also introduced in this update.

That said, Collei is a bow wielder with Dendro powers. And while she can deal decent damage, she’s better off as either a sub-DPS or support. If you want to maximize her potential, then you need to learn how to make a proper build out of Collei.

In this guide, I’ll show you how you can build Collei.

How to Build Collei | Collei Build Guide in Genshin Impact

To start, Collei is a 4-star Dendro character that you can fully maximize even as a F2P player. Her gameplay mainly revolves around dealing sub-DPS while providing support to other characters. Not only that, but her abilities also maximize the potential of various new elemental reactions that were introduced in the 3.0 update.

When you play Collie, you want to focus on constantly applying Dendro to your target. You can easily discern it by the green Dendro symbol right next to your target’s health bar. However, it’s also worth noting that if you want to use her to her fullest, you have to take advantage of elemental reactions too.

Without them, Collie falls behind in terms of damage and effectiveness.

Talent Priorities

The bulk of your damage while playing Collei will come from here Elemental Burst. Roughly 3/4 of the damage she does is due to her Burst while the remaining portion is from her Skill. You don’t want to focus on normal attacks either as they’re just severely lacking.

That said, you want to prioritize her talents in this order:

  1. Elemental Burst
  2. Elemental Skill
  3. Normal Attack

To use Collie, you have to start with her Elemental Skill first and then her Elemental Burst after. Once done, simply switch to another character. The reason for this is simple. Her Skill lets her collect energy particles while performing her Burst animation. This is important as it lets you maximize the reactions you can get from other characters.

Team Synergy

As mentioned earlier, you want to focus on making elemental reactions with Collie around your team. Ideally, you want to go for Electro, Hydro, and Pyro elements.

For a team that focuses on the Burning reaction, you can add two Pyro characters alongside Collie. All you need to do is let your Pyro characters do the job of melting nearby opponents in seconds. You can also add an Anemo character as the fourth member to reduce your enemies’ Pyro resistance with the 4-pc Viridescent Venerer.

If you’re going for Quicken, you can go with 1-2 Electro characters while the other members could be anyone you want. I’d personally go for Zhongli with the 4-pc Tenacity of Millelith. Also, if you plan to bring just one Electro character, the fourth choice would be an Anemo character to reduce your enemies’ Electro resistance with a 4-pc Viridescent Venerer.

Weapons and Artifacts

As for Collie’s gear, you want to use weapons that have either Crit, Elemental Mastery, or Elemental Recharge. That said, here are some of my recommendations:

  • Elegy for the End – Offers an excellent balance of damage and team support; by far BiS for Collie
  • Stringless – Probably your most accessible option as you can easily refine it to 4-star
  • Favonius Warbow – It’s a Favonius weapon which is already a statement on its own

Meanwhile, for artifacts, you want to go for a 4-pc Deepwood Memories and a 4-pc Noblesse Oblige. However, your choice will depend on your playstyle. If you want a balance between damage and support, then Deepwood Memories is your best option.

On the other hand, if you prefer going full support, then Noblesse Oblige perfectly fits that role.
