Genshin Impact: All 3 Seek the Scattered Stars Guide

While playing through the “They Once Walked the Starry Sky” quest in Genshin Impact, you’ll eventually be tasked with obtaining 3 Scattered Stars. These Scattered Stars are an essential part of the quest, and to progress it, you will need to obtain all 3.

In this guide, we will look at where and how to get all 3 Scattered Stars for this quest. Make sure to complete this quest, as doing so will get you loads of valuable items and resources like Primogems, the game’s premium currency.

All 3 Seek the Scattered Stars Guide

All 3 Scattered Stars can be found at the highest point of the city. The “They Once Walked the Starry Sky” quest will naturally take you there. We will be looking at where the stars can be found, and how you can obtain them. So without further delay, let’s get into it.

Scattered Star #1

During the “They Once Walked the Starry Sky” quest, you’ll be tasked with connecting a set of Oracle Pillars using a magic thread. You will get the magic thread in your possession after you help Captain Montagne catch the suspicious person.

When using the thread, the pillars will need to be arranged in a specific pattern. The game doesn’t exactly tell you what the pattern is, but it does give you a massive hint, as the officer there keeps on repeating “The shape of the stars”.

In order to progress the quest, you will need to arrange the pillars in the form of a star. The pattern is a bit different from what a traditional star might look like, and it resembles the Primogem shape. You can see the pattern you need to make in the image above.

Once you’ve made the exact pattern, the Scattered Star will spawn in the middle of the pillars. You can get the star by simply walking up to it and picking it up.

Scattered Star #2

With the first Scattered Star in your possession, look back and head toward the area shown by the red arrow in the image above. Following the arrow will lead you to the edge of the roof.

When you get to the edge of the roof, drop down from there.

Once you reach the ground, you’ll encounter a couple of guards guarding a Scattered Star from a bunch of enemies. You will need to take down these enemies and help out the guards. There are quite a few enemies here, so make sure you clear all of them before talking to the guards.

After taking down the enemies, go to the guards and ask for the Scattered Star. The guards will be a bit hesitant, but they’ll hand you the Scattered Star as gratitude for helping them out with the enemies. Alongside the Scattered Star, the game will also reward you with an Exquisite Chest for helping the guards.

Scattered Star #3

For the final Scattered Star, make your way towards the wooden barricades shown in the image above and turn left after crossing them. You’ll be able to see these barricades from where you just got the second Scattered Star.

After turning left, you will need to climb the staircase in front of you. Climbing the staircase will lead you to another group of enemies that you will need to take down. You will need to take care of these enemies to get to the third Scattered Star.

Once you’ve dealt with all the enemies there, look to the left of the door over there and you’ll find a Scattered Star and a guard stuck together in a sticky slime-like substance. You can try pulling down the guard and the star, but you won’t be able to without help.

So before you can pull down the Scattered Star and the guard alongside it, you will need to pull down 2 other guards stuck to the wall in this area. The slime here isn’t as thick, so you can easily pull the guards down by yourself.

After you’ve pulled the 2 guards down, they’ll help you pull down the guard and star stuck in the thicker slime.

Once all the guards and the Scattered Star are on the ground, you can claim the Scattered Star from them. Like before, the guards will simply give you the star when you ask. With all 3 Scattered Stars in your possession, make your way back to the highest point in the city and talk to Navia to progress the quest.
