Genshin Impact: Agnihotra Sutra | Risen Moon Quest Guide

The “Risen Moon” Chapter is the second quest in the Agnihotra Sutra quest chain for Genshin Impact – we’ll break down everything you need to do to complete this second part, including rune hunting.

How to Complete the Risen Moon Quest in Genshin Impact

First, to start the quest, you’ll need to locate Aragaru – North of Sumeru City, which is just outside of the Chatrakam Cave location. 

You’ll then have to utilize the Kusava once again to open up your path.

The Kusava gadget will upgrade after you’ll spoken with Aragaru. You’ll be able to then open up rocks that display with curved lines/branches, while inside of the cave. After opening up the rock, enemies will appear – Fungi. Attack them, and once they’re all cleared, you can proceed to explore the cave.

Once you’re inside, locate the wall to the left with the glowing, lit up runes and Shroom-kin. These will be beside a pillar with Dendroculus.

You’ll have to interact with three (3) runes total.

These runes can be found in the cave behind the greenish rocks. Once you locate them, interact with them using the Kusava gadget.

Once you’ve located all three runes, talk to Aragaru and exit the cave ahead – a green rock will be blocking the pathway to outside, so you’ll need to use the Kusava gadget on it again.

You then need to head over to the cave where the “Barsam Flower” is located at.

Head over to the Lone Island Northwest, whereby completing the cutscene will open up the hole into another cave and Dendroculus.

Once inside, you’ll have to explore the deeper areas of the “Realm of Khab.”

You’ll need to use the Kusava to break the three (3) seals on the Barsam Flower – which are guided by seelies in the Realm of Khab.

Guide the seelies to their corresponding courts and then activate the small greenish rocks behind the large ones to complete the quest puzzle.

This means following the seelies to either the East or West entrances, and breaking the green rock that contains the seal with the Kusava. You’ll have to break another greenish rock containing a Dendro Monument to open up the exit to the main entrance room, where you can then guide the seelie to their court in this main room.

Once both of the seelies are guided to their corresponding courts, to break the third and final seal, you’ll have to enter the lifted barrier in the main room. This will lead you to Ruin Graders and Ruin Machines. You’ll have to defeat them as they guard the final, hidden seal.

After opening the path with a Dendro Monument you will return back to the main room – here you can tether yourself to the Barsam Flower location to obtain it, thereby completing the quest.
