Time of day in Fortnite Creative may be quite important to you while you are building your island. The nighttime lighting can make it hard to see when you are setting up, or daylight may mess with the ambiance of your game. Here is how you can change the time of day to whatever you like!

How to Change Time of Day

Fortnite creative at night time.

In Fortnite Creative, the default time of day setting will run on the same cycle as it does in Battle Royale. Each hour lasts 45 seconds and a full day runs its course in 18 minutes. However, you might not want to wait for ideal lighting or would rather it didn’t change while you are busy, so this is how to light up your life!

In your main view in Creative, you will see three icons on the left of your screen. You want to select Island Settings at this point. (Touchpad for PlayStation, M for PC)

Island Settings: World > Ambiance

From the Island Settings menu select World > Ambiance.

Time of day setting

From there simply select Time of Day and scroll left or right, away from the Default and Random settings. Set the time of day you want and exit the menu!

Your island will light up to the time of day you want! It will remain at this time of day unless you change it yourself or switch back to Default and resume the regular day/night cycle.

Bonus Tip

The Ambiance menu can be used to adjust visibility settings on your island of all types! Including the actual brightness, it displays as well as custom colors and levels of Fog.

Happy days! Now you can get creative on your own time! Build up and break down your island with ease and great lighting, making the most appealing map for you and your friends.
