Crafting is one of the most essential aspects of Enshrouded, but to craft gear in the game you need to have the right resources. With so many resources in Enshrouded, it can be difficult to identify each one and know where to find them.

This ultimate resource guide will look at essential early-game resources you will need to craft gear and upgrade it.

We will be looking at each item individually, focusing on what you need to be looking for when searching for these items, and how to get them in your inventory.

Ultimate Resource Guide | Shroud Liquid, Resin, Tar, and Metal Scrap

Flint

Flint

The bow and arrow is a very useful weapon to have in Enshrouded, especially early on. Flint is one of the resources that go into making flint arrows for your bow. Arrows made using flint are a big upgrade on wooden arrows, and very useful to have.

Flint in Enshrouded has a distinct look, making it easy to identify. The above image shows what Flint looks like. Flint is a bit darker than stone and has brown and golden notes on it that help make it stand out.

Metal Scraps

The most basic form of metal that you can find in Enshrouded is metal scraps. These scraps are not mined but instead collected from barrels and boxes. You can smash barrels and boxes you find in Enshrouded, and there’s a chance that they drop metal scraps.

Metal Scraps Location

Another way to get metal scraps is by defeating certain enemies. Bandits can drop metal sheets when they are killed. Early on in the game, there are certain bandit camps that you can farm if you are looking to collect metal sheets.

The map above marks a good early-game bandit camp that you can use to get yourself a lot of metal sheets. Clearing these camps will also give you a lot of other useful resources.

Rubble

Rubble

Finding rubble in Enshrouded is pretty easy, as it is very common. You can find rubble near most destroyed structures. You can collect this rubble using your pickaxe.

Dirt

Dirt

Probably the most self-explanatory one, dirt is the simplest resource to harvest in Enshrouded. You can find any patch of grass in the game and start collecting the dirt by hitting the ground with your pickaxe.

Stone

Stone

Similar to dirt, stone is also very easy to find and collect. You can mine stones from the edge of cliffs or other terrain. Other than that, you can also find stones lying on the ground all across Enshrouded’s map. Stone is mined using the pickaxe.

Trees

When you chop down trees in Enshrouded using your hatchet, it will drop wood for you. Wood is an essential resource at all stages of the game. A rarer drop from trees is resin.

You are less likely to get resin from trees than wood, but if you cut down a good amount of trees, you will end up with more than enough resin.

Tar

Tar

To get cooked meat in Enshrouded, you will need to cook the raw meat yourself. One way to do this is by taking a raw piece of meat and sitting over a fire to cook it.

Once the meat you are holding over the fire is done, you can stop cooking it and you will have a cooked piece of meat. If you instead keep cooking the meat even after it’s done, the meat will burn and you will get yourself tar.

It seems kind of weird to burn food that can be consumed to get another resource, but it is a very easy way to get tar in this game.

Shroud Wood

Shroud Wood

Getting shroud wood requires you to do the same thing as getting regular wood. The difference between the 2 is the tree you need to cut. To get shroud wood, you will need to cut down trees found inside the shroud.

Shroud Liquid

Shroud Liquid

Another resource found only inside the shroud, shroud liquid can be found inside the round grey spheres in the image above. To get the liquid from these spheres, you will just need to go up to them and press collect.

Mycelium

Mycelium

Mycelium can be collected by mining the glowy patches of mushrooms you can find in Enshrouded. These patches of mushrooms can only be found in the shroud. Inside the shroud though, they are fairly simple to find as they stand out due to their distinct glow.

Our guide focuses on helping out new players with beginner tips, which is also a great way to start your journey in Enshrouded.
