Disney Speedstorm is a unique kart racing game featuring fan-favorite Disney characters, each of which belongs to a different class.
These classes are fairly unique as well! They all offer different tools and gameplay styles without relying on the tired “light, medium, heavy” type of division.
In this guide, we’ll give you the gist of what each class does and we’ll tell you which one we recommend.
Breakdown of Racer Classes in Disney Speedstorm
There are 4 different racer classes in the game, and each character belongs to one of these four.
We have the Trickster class which primarily focuses on using items and trickery to impair other players instead of being fast. It has characters like Jack Sparrow, Mulan, and Megara.
Next is the Brawler, heavyweight racers that focus on harassing others by ramming into them but aren’t particularly fast. This includes characters like The Beast and Hercules.
There’s also the Defender class that focuses on defensive abilities to prevent the damage dished out by other classes, especially the Tricksters and Brawlers. This includes Goofy, Elizabeth Swann, and Cella Mae.
Lastly, the Speedster class which are all about speed! Why fight other racers when you can just outrun them? This is where Mickey Mouse, Belle, and Mowgli belong.
Which one you prefer is going to depend heavily on your preferred playstyle, or even on which Disney character you love the most.
There are no ways to change racers’ classes, at least currently. So if you wish to play as Mickey Mouse, you will have to get used to being a speedster!
Personally, though, we wouldn’t have a problem with that. The Speedster class might the best overall, at least for new players.
They are straightforward racers who only care about speed, which means you don’t need to focus too much on using tricky strategies to beat your opponents or anything like that.
As such, we recommend Speedsters! At least until you get a good hang of the game and decide you want to use trickier classes.
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
