98 articlesOne of the many characters you’ll meet in Disney Dreamlight Valley is Maui. As with all other characters, he will give you a quest that you need to complete in exchange for some rewards. His questline which is called Heart of Dreamlight Valley involves a handful of many quests that you can complete.
In this guide, I’ll show you what you need to do in order to complete the entire questline.
The Heart of Disney Dreamlight Valley Maui Quest Guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Before anything else, you first need to unlock Maui. Luckily, it’s not that hard to do as it’s pretty much similar to how you unlocked Moana. To do so, you want to first unlock the Dream Castle by completing Merlin’s Mission. Once you do that, you’ll then be able to access the area.
Inside, you’ll be able to unlock the realm you want to visit, but you need to pay for it. You can get to Maui by visiting Moana’s realm under the “The Ocean with a Demigod” option. You can talk to him to accept and complete quests.

Talk to him to accept and start the quest. As this questline is made up of multiple mini-quests, we’ll be talking about their steps one by one.
Clear the Crust Off the Limestone
To complete this objective, you want to head over to the crafting station. Your task will be to clear the crust off the limestone. All you have to do is interact with the crafting station and then navigate to the Functional Items tab.
Here, you’ll find a recipe for the Cleaned Up Limestone item. For this, you’ll need the limestone as well as 3 Scraping Stone, and simply click Make. After receiving the item, go back to Maui and give him the item.
Visit the Fountain
Your next task is to visit the fountain which you can find at the top of the Castle. All you need to do is head to the castle and go to the top until you come across the fountain with a golden statue. Here, you want to look for the missing Heart of Dreamlight Valley piece.
You can find it lying on the ground at the back of the fountain. This will be a purple shard which is not that easy to miss. Simply pick up the item and give it to Maui. A dialogue option will appear with the “Ask Merlin” option.
Choose that option and go visit Merlin afterward to ask about the item.
After talking to Merlin, he will then ask you to gather some ingredients to fix the Heart of Dreamlight Valley. To do this, you’ll need the following:
- Water from Forgotten Lands
- Water from Frosted Heights
- Purified Night Shards
You will need 3 Purified Night Shards which you can get from the crafting station. All you need is to head over to the crafting station and navigate to the Potion & Enchantment tab. Here, you’ll need a total of 15 Night Shards and 3 Dream Shards to make 3 Purified Night Shards.
After collecting all ingredients and crafting the shards, the recipe for Heart of Dreamlight Valley will appear in the same tab as well. All you need to do is craft it. Once done, talk to Maui and he will then tell you to place the item in the hand of the statue which was in the fountain earlier.
Simply go back to the fountain, interact with the golden statue, and place the Heart of the Dreamlight Valley. This will then complete the quest.
