Death Must Die offers characters a number of companion allies in the form of magical creatures. These could include the green Onyx Dragon, or for this article – the white Raven.
These can be equipped either through gear, such as runestones, or through perks at the start of your run. You can check out our beginner’s guide for more info on this.
There is some discourse amongst fans regarding whether the White Raven is actually any good, so lets put that to rest and see how it works!
Frozen Raven Guide | Is It Good?
The Frozen Raven is only playable through Skadi. She is a warrior class whose primary weapon is a great sword capable of wide sweeping attacks.
She’s relatively quick for a warrior class and is a smaller target than other melee characters like Kront.
For her perks, you’ll need to select the Sign of The Beast. This will enable the White Raven when you enter into Death’s Realm and start your run.
The key point here is that the Raven will gain the value of eight your stat boosts. So, whilst you might start a run delivering less than a 100 damage, with the right blessings and boosts – this can quickly reach up to 10,000!
The White Raven works by attacking only one single enemy at a time. This makes it pretty ineffective when dealing with large mobs, and you’ll want to make sure your blessings are compensating for that.
However, the White Raven is amazing at taking down larger enemies and bosses! We’re talking taking down Dracula in less than thirty seconds level of good.
This is largely due to that high stat boost. You’ll want to make sure you’re still dodging enemy attacks, but once that Raven reaches its enemies – it’s over!
The Raven has a tendency to fly around the map a bit before reaching its target, so make sure you’re not wasting those blessings in the meantime.
So, that’s the verdict. With the correct blessings to complement dealing with mobs, the White Raven is perfect for a successful run due to its high damage against bosses.
