One of the first things you’ll need to learn in Cash Cleaner Simulator is to use a UV light to spot fake bills.

You can’t trust all of the money that goes into your cash cleaning operation. Sometimes your clients send you counterfeit or marked bills mixed in with the legal tender. While these less-than-legal bills still have their issues, it’s important that you know what you’re dealing with!

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to spot all types of bills!

How to Use UV Light to Spot Fake Bills | Cash Cleaner Simulator

The first thing you have to do is, of course, purchase the Portable UV Light from the Black Market. It’s the first UV light source you get access to in the game, and it costs 750 Crypto.

Once you have the Portable UV Light, pick it up and left click to turn it on. While shining the UV light on any bill, you’ll be able to see the following:

  • Legit Bills – The watermarks shine brightly in reaction to the UV light.
  • Fake Bills – Doesn’t have any watermarks and doesn’t react to UV light.
  • Marked Bills – The watermarks shine just like legit bills, but there are also red marks on the bills.

Now, these marks (or the lack of them) can be hard to see if there’s too much light. Make sure to use the levers found along the walls of each run to turn off the lights. It’s also ideal to stay under roofed sections to minimize the daylight that gets in the way. In fact, it’s best to use the UV light at nighttime. This is especially true if you’re trying to spot marked bills.

Alternatively, you can also use certain furniture to help block unwanted lighting. The Steel Work Table is a good option in the early game, as its bottom shelf is great for blocking out light. The Workshop you unlock later in the game also works, provided you buy the UV light upgrade for it!

Lastly, note that you can place down your UV light by pressing the right click. Put it down on a table or something so that you have your hands free to handle bills.

Separating Different Types of Bills | UV Light Tips and Tricks

A good way to separate the different types of bills is to grab a stack. You can do so by holding left click to either collect loose bills or to grab a stack from a larger pile. Then, right click and press the X key to drop a single bill. This is especially good if you put a container for each type of bill near your UV light.

Alternatively, you can also just hold down the X key and move your mouse around. You’ll continuously drop bills, with your movements allowing you to “fan” them out.

Later on, you can purchase the Money Counter L, as well. Aside from being bigger and faster at counting bills, it will also automatically detect and spit out any fake bills. However, it doesn’t seem to catch any marked bills, so keep that in mind.

Lastly, as a reminder, you don’t really need to avoid sending marked and fake bills out with your orders. As long as you don’t get a red light glow, all types of bills will be accepted. However, you will be unable to get the No Marked Bills and No Counterfeit Bills bonuses for the order!

So, there you have it, that’s how to spot fake and marked bills with a UV light in Cash Cleaner Simulator! All that’s left for you to do is decide how to organize your bills and what to do with them. Just don’t burn them, even the counterfeits can be useful.
