As Call of the Wild: The Angler has just been released, a handful of its mechanics will seem rather new and complicated to most players. For one, it looks like the game doesn’t give you the option to do a more extended cast with the use of a power bar.

Luckily, there’s actually a power bar in the game. If you don’t know how to enable it, this guide is for you.

At the start of the game, you will learn the basics of fishing which involves clicking your left mouse button to cast your rod. However, this causes your throw to always land in the same spot. That is because the game doesn’t enable the power bar feature by default.

So if you want to cast with a power bar just like the other fishing games, you need to change the settings. To do this, head over to your Options menu. There, go to the Accessibility tab, and look for the Accessible Cast option which is at the very top.

Simply change it to On and then go back to the game. Now, try casting your rod. At this point, you should be able to see the power bar at the bottom center of the screen.

Simply click your left mouse button once the power bar reaches your preferred level.
