You’ll find yourself needing to get your Carpentry level up to 32 as you enter Episode 2 in Brighter Shores, and it’s important to be efficient if you want to do it as fast as possible.

Level 32 in the Carpenter Profession is required for some quests in Episode 2. Most notably “The Spider’s Nest”, which unlocks the extremely useful Storage Rifts. However, leveling up that much is a pretty ridiculous grind, especially if you don’t know a good method for it…

In this guide, we’ll tell you the fastest method you can use to get your Carpenter Profession from Level 0 all the way up to Level 32!

How to Get Level 32 Carpentry FAST

To start the leveling process for Carpentry, you’ll also need to work on your Woodcutter Profession. Both of these go hand in hand and you’ll need to level up Woodcutter as part of the main quest anyway. You’ll also need 36 Silver at first. To start, go to the Timberwell Green zone in Hopeforest and find Morauce the Hatchet Man.

Morauce location

Once you find him in the western part of Timberwell Green, speak with him and browse his shop. Purchase the Hand Saw from him for 36 Silver. If you don’t have enough money yet, check out our guide on a minimal effort early game moneymaking method!

Now, you just need to start cutting down trees in the Timberwell Green zone to level up your Woodcutter Profession!

Carpenter's Workshop | Brighter Shores: How to Get 32 Carpentry FAST

When your inventory is full, go to the Carpenter’s Workshop which is directly south of Timberwell Green. You can use the Lumber Bank there to put all your logs away.

As you level up Woodcutter and get a large number of logs, buy higher-tier Woodcutter supplies from Morauce. Get the Hatchet (43 Silver, 200 Copper) at Level 4 and the Two-Person Saw (64 Silver, 800 Copper) at Level 16. Focus on Yew Trees once you reach Level 16 as they’ll be the most profitable.

At this point, you should’ve amassed a large number of logs, especially Yew Logs. It’s now time to start refining by using the Circular Saw at the Carpenter’s Workshop. You can then sell the refined products, such as Coarse Yew Logs, to the Timber Merchant inside the Carpenter’s Workshop. Keep chopping Yew Trees and refining them until you reach Level 22 as both Woodcutter and Carpeter.

Gwen's Lumber | Brighter Shores: How to Get 32 Carpentry FAST

When you reach Level 22 Woodcutter and Carpenter, you want to stop chopping trees and start buying Rugged Pine Logs from Gwen’s Lumber instead. It’s the shop on the topmost western exit out of Timberwell Green, as shown above. It’s not too far from where Mourace the Hatchet Man is. Refine the Rugged Pine Logs into Rugged Pine Posts and sell them until you reach Level 30.

If you start running low on funds, you can go back to cutting down and refining Yew Trees for profit.

Working on Carpentry

You can also start buying Rugged Hickory Logs instead if you reach Level 30 Woodcutter. Just like before, refine them into Rugged Hickory Posts and sell them until you manage to finish reaching Level 32. They give a bit more EXP than Rugged Pine, but it’s only a little while longer at this point. You just need to grind a bit more and you’re all done!

But well, there you have it, that’s how you can get your Carpentry level to 32 fast in Brighter Shores! This grind should take about 9 hours, despite being the fastest method. However, it will allow you to complete the “The Spider’s Nest” quest. Finishing that quest is extremely worthwhile, though, as it unlocks Storage Rifts. You can use them to deposit items without walking back to the bank!
