The Thermal Bank is one of the most useful facilities you can get in Arknights: Endfield, as it increases the Power limit of your AICs.

As such, the Thermal Banks are vital to expanding your entire AIC’s output and potential. The higher your Power cap is, the more facilities you can handle at once.

In this quick guide, I’ll tell you how to unlock this facility and its Simulation.

How to Unlock the Thermal Bank and Increase Your AIC Power Limit

First things first, you’ll need to unlock the Thermal Bank facility by getting the Power I upgrade. You can find it within your AIC Plan. It’s in the Power section of the AIC Basic II tier.

If the Thermal Bank is not yet available for you, you’ll need to progress through the main story. More specifically, you’ll need to complete the “Paving the Way” quest.

Need help with that quest? We have guides on using the Gearing Units for Amethyst Components and collecting the Amethyst Ore from the Depot.

At the same time, you’ll need to use and spend AIC Index points. If you don’t have enough, look out for the Protocol Logger tube men all over the world. Interact with them for Index points!

Once you’ve unlocked it, you’ll be able to craft Thermal Banks by using 10 Origocrust and 10 Amethyst Parts.

You can also learn how the Thermal Banks work by checking out their Simulation tutorial. Like other tutorials, you can find it in the Simulation section of the AIC Plan.

Like the other Simulations, this is a very straightforward tutorial that will explain the basics of setting up and using a Thermal Bank. I highly recommend paying attention to it, as Thermal Banks are one of the most useful facilities in the game!

The gist of it, though, is that you need to place Thermal Banks within your AIC and feed them. First, you’ll use Originium Ore, and then you’ll use Batteries. Doing so will increase your AIC’s Power limit.

Each input material provides different benefits, as follows:

  • Originium Ore – 50 Power
  • LC Valley Battery – 220 Power
  • SC Valley Battery – 420 Power
  • HC Valley Battery – 1100 Power

Early on, just use Originium Ore and multiple Thermal Banks. But do aim to try to set up a Battery production line later on, as they are way more efficient.

So, there you have it. That’s all you really need to know to unlock the Thermal Bank and do its Simulation tutorial in Arknights: Endfield. Time to power up your AIC!
