Thankfully, it’s actually fairly easy to get this item once you know what to look for. Let’s get started.
Where to Find Specimen Bread
You can find Specimen: Bread items while exploring Aberrant Zone 1. Specifically, you can find it on specific Auto Vending machines in the area.

The first spot is near the center of the Aberrant Zone 1, by going into the room to the south of the very middle. The following video will show you the route to follow there.
Essentially, you just need to enter the building to the south of the zone’s center and go left. You’ll see a white vending machine there, which will drop Specimen: Bread when you interact. Just defeat any enemies that get in your way to get them.
It’s worth noting that this location is usually guarded by enemies. As such, I highly recommend clearing the room so you can safely interact with the machine.
For the second location, go to the southeastern corner of the northern half of Aberrant Zone 1. I know that sounds a bit confusing, but I’ve marked it on the map above for you.
Once you get there, you should see a large white vending machine out in the open. Interact with it to pop it open and it’ll drop some Specimen: Bread.
Tips for Farming Specimen: Bread Efficiently
Keep in mind that Aberrant Zone runs can become frustrating early on due to the game’s sanity and derangement systems. Fortunately, you don’t really need to engage in heavy combat just to farm for this item as long as you plan your route properly.
Here are a few things that could help:
- Keep the related mission actively pinned before you enter the zone
- Prioritize vending machines over unnecessary fights
- Unlock permanent zipline shortcuts whenever possible
- Continue looting nearby containers before extracting if your inventory still has space
So, there you have it! As far as I know, this is the location where you can find Specimen: Bread in Arknights: Endfield. Plus, as I said before, it seems to only spawn when required for objectives.
