One of the latest characters that got introduced in Version 1.3 of Arknights Endfield is Camille, a 6-star Heat Vanguard who quickly established himself as one of the strongest support-oriented units in the game.
In the current version of the game, Camille is considered a premium support for Heat compositions. So, if you want to play him right, this guide should help you out. Without further ado, here’s how to build and play Camille in Arknights Endfield.
Camille Overview in Arknights: Endfield

As mentioned, Camille is a 6-Star Heat Vanguard who fights using a Polearm. His kit revolves around supporting his teammates while remaining active on the frontline. Instead of focusing purely on DPS, he continuously fuels his team’s rotations by generating Link effects and helping allies use their abilities more often.
Due to this, Camille is particularly valuable alongside powerful Heat damage dealers that rely on frequent Ultimate usage.
As far as weapons go, Camille performs best with weapons that increase his ability uptime rather than simply boosting raw Attack. His signature weapon, Blessings of Lustrous Carmine, is naturally his strongest option, as it significantly improves his overall consistency while maximizing his support capabilities.
A good alternative would be the Beacon of Duty, as it can provide extra Agility and help with Camille’s Ultimate gain.
However, if you don’t own either of those, you can instead opt for Polearms that provide Ultimate Gain efficiency, energy recovery, skill haste, and heat-related bonuses.
Unlike dedicated DPS characters, Camille gains more value from casting abilities frequently instead of stacking offensive stats alone.
Best Armor Set for Camille

When it comes to armor, the best set for Camille is the Frontiers Set, which perfectly complements his role as a support. The set grants Combo skill cooldown reduction and a significant damage boost to his teammates after recovering SP.
Meanwhile, if you plan to play Camille as a damage dealer, then the Type 50 Yinglung set is a solid choice due to its stackable damage bonus.
Personally, the Frontiers set is the better choice, as Camille’s biggest strength isn’t his personal damage. In fact, you’ll find his damage to be rather lacking compared to other characters.
Instead, Camille excels in boosting the rest of the team through SP generation, Link uptime, and Heat support. The Frontiers set reinforces that and is generally regarded as his best-in-slot armor for the current meta.
Best Team Composition

Camille performs best when paired with other Heat damage dealers, making Laevatain the best partner for Camille.
His consistent Skill Point generation and Link support help Laevatain cycle through her abilities more frequently. This results in consistent Heat uptime and significantly more damage the longer a fight drags on.
Aside from Laevatain, Camille also works best when paired with Rossi. While Rossi is mainly a hybrid Physical/Heat damage dealer, she can still benefit a lot from Camille’s support. Since most of Rossi’s damage output comes from Heat, Camille can enhance both her consistency and overall damage output.
She’s a really solid alternative if you don’t own Laevatain or simply prefer Rossi’s hybrid playstyle.
How to Play Camille

So, how exactly do you play Camille?
Well, Camille’s gameplay is less about maximizing his own damage and more about maintaining team momentum. As mentioned earlier, his damage isn’t particularly that strong, so I don’t recommend playing him as your main DPS.
During encounters, you want to apply Heat and establish Link effects as early as possible. Then, once your rotation is running, prioritize keeping Camille’s abilities on cooldown to maintain Skill Point generation and Heat application.
If you’re using Laevatain, keep Camille’s rotation active before committing her major cooldowns to maximize overall damage output.
Final Thoughts
As you can see, Camille is one of the safest investments for players building Heat teams in the current version of Arknights: Endfield. Thanks to his excellent utility and ability to enhance top-tier carries, a lot of players regard him as one of the best support-oriented Vanguards in the game right now.
While he isn’t designed to dish out tons of damage by himself, his impact on overall team performance is massive.
