The Laundromat is the cheapest legitimate business you can get in Schedule 1, but is it worth to buy it?

As a legitimate business, the Laundromat’s primary use for a criminal entrepreneur is simply to launder money. Because obviously nobody will suspect money laundering at a laundromat, right? This will help you work around the deposit limit in the game, which is quite helpful, too.

In this guide, we take a look at the Laundromat building and tell you our reasons for whether or not it’s worth it.

Is The Laundromat Worth the Buy in Schedule 1?

The Laundromat is the cheapest of all the legitimate businesses you can get in the game. As such, we do think it’s a good purchase. However, you shouldn’t get it right away.

In case you’re unaware, you can only deposit up to $10,000 from your cash to your bank per in-game week. This is important, as some stores only let you purchase from them with the money in your bank. They don’t take cash!

Legitimate businesses, like the Laundromat, allow you to launder a certain amount of money. This helps out later in the game, as it allows you to circumvent the weekly deposit limit.

The Laundromat itself allows you to launder up to $2000 every 24 hours. You can do that from the computer in the back room. Since the business itself only costs $4000, it’s definitely a solid purchase early in the game!

Now, however, we do recommend only buying the Laundromat after you’ve already bought the Bungalow. The Bungalow costs $6000 and is your first big expansion after the Motel room and the small house. It’s also much more secure than the Motel room and allows you to hire up to 5 workers. Simply, it makes more sense to expand first!

So, in summary, you should buy the Laundromat in Schedule 1 but only after you have bought the Bungalow. Focus on expanding your business first, and then get the Laundromat when you need to launder money more frequently.

Eventually, you’ll also unlock an upgraded Mixing Station. If you’re wondering if that’s worth it, check out our guide on if you should buy the Mixing Station Mk2 or not!
