Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) added the new Spirit Walker Ascendancy with patch 0.5, and it has the potent ability of allowing you to tame various bosses, even during the campaign!
The Spirit Walker’s “The Natural Order” passive allows her to tame Unique Beasts. That means, by and large, that all Beast bosses are now tameable! But taming requires effort, so which ones are even worth said effort?
In this article, I’ll tell you the recommended bosses to tame during PoE2’s campaign.
The Crowbell

One of the very first bosses you can encounter in the game, you find The Crowbell at The Hunting Grounds during Act 1. That makes it quite accessible, being the first campaign boss you can tame in this list!
The Crowbell is a fantastic all-rounder, and its versatility makes it a solid choice at every point of the campaign. It primarily excels in Stuns, but it can also dish out pretty solid damage and has great AoE moves.
Of course, though, the Stuns are the main appeal of this Beast boss over all the others. It can easily help you keep enemies from acting, which is always welcome!
To be honest with you, you probably don’t need to tame other bosses besides The Crowbell. At least, not unless you simply want to, of course! Regardless, The Crowbell is powerful enough to be a good pick through the entire campaign.
Rathbreaker

You can encounter Rathbreaker not too long after The Crowbell. Rathbreaker is at the Vastiri Outskirts in Act 2, making it the first Act 2 boss you’ll face.
Rathbreaker is a pretty speedy boss to have on your side. He combines that speed with some decent damage output and AoE capabilities to be quite a helpful ally!
What really makes Rathbreaker shine, though, is the exceptional Armour Break potential. Since this reduces the enemies’ defense, that means your overall damage output also increases!
Consider Rathbreaker a sort of support ally, in a sense. He’ll do solid damage and clear enemies on his own, but you primarily want him around to improve your damage output via Armour Break. If that sounds useful to you, he’s a must-have.
Mighty Silverfist

I know this boss was on a lot of veterans’ first thoughts when the Spirit Walker’s Beast Tame buff got revealed! You can encounter the powerful Mighty Silverfirst in the Jungle Ruins during Act 3.
Mighty Silverfist is basically all about dishing out crazy damage, being capable of one-shotting things with relative ease. He’s also fairly tanky, having a +50% Armour modifier.
What really makes the Mighty Silverfist shine, though, is its innate potential to dish out Critical Hits. It has an innate 25% Critical Hit Chance, as well as a hidden 150% Increased Critical Damage Bonus modifier. That’s why his damage is so high!
That said, while this does make Mighty Silverfist strong from the get-go, he does require a bit more investment to truly excel. For example, your build should be focused on Critical Hits to further play into his strengths.
Overall, not as straightforward or versatile as the others on this list. But when you play into his strengths, the Mighty Silverfist’s world-shattering Critical Hits will destroy your foes with ease.
Wrapping Up
So, there you have it! Those are the best campaign bosses to tame using the improved Beast Tame from the Spirit Walker Ascendancy in PoE 2.
In short: your best bets are The Crowbell for a versatile stunner, Rathbreaker for an Armour Breaker, and Mighty Silverfist for a powerful Critical Hit-focused DPS.
That said, this is all off of what we currently have as of 0.5. Currently, many of the Beast bosses are very buggy when tamed, which greatly limits selection. It’s part of why these 3 very reliable bosses are our recommendations.
