Season 10 should be coming soon to New World: Aeternum, so it’s a good idea to prepare while you can. Based on the game’s schedule so far, we can expect the new season sometime in late October to early November. Not much is known about it currently, though… but that doesn’t mean you can’t get some prep in! We’ll help you with that preparation.

How to Prepare for Season 10 of New World Aeternum

Get the Well of Fortune Limited Items

The first thing you will want to do before Season 10 hits is to start hoarding as many limited items as you can from the Well of Fortune. Mainly, you want to get the following 3 items:

  • Glittering Gold Key
  • Goldcursed Epic Crate
  • Gypsum Orbs

Worth noting here is that you do not want to actually use any of these yet. That includes the Goldcursed Epic Crate! You want to just hoard them for now. For the crate, that’s just in case the Gear Score increase retroactively affects these crates and their drops. In fact, this is true for all types of caches and crates you have!

In addition to those, it’s also a good idea to start amassing as many Mystic Doubloons as you can. Ideally, save up any surplus you have after buying those 3 high-priority items we mentioned above. They might come in handy, in case Season 10 introduces new goodies at the Well of Fortune exchange.

Stockpile Runewood

Another important resource to hoard currently is Runewood. Based on the game’s history so far, it’s a safe bet to assume that Runewood resources will continue to be required for the highest tiers of crafting materials. So, it’s best to just get as much Runewood as you can currently instead of turning it all into Prismatic Planks, for example.

If you’re looking to hoard this material, there are two main spots you’ll want to focus on: southwestern Cutlass Keys and eastern Elysian Wilds. Those regions have the highest amount of Runewood Tree spawns. They’re not the safest, mind you, but they do give the best bang for your buck.

Get That Gold!

The other thing that’s important to gather is just Gold. In all of its runtime, New World: Aeternum has required Gold for pretty much everything, so hoarding it is important to prepare for Season 10. Everything requires at least a little bit of Gold in this game!

Currently, a great way to make some Gold fast is most likely to just sell any gear you don’t need. List any Gear Score 700 to 725 items you don’t need at the Trading Spot and wait for them to sell. Remember, though, only sell gear you don’t need or use anymore!

The main reason to sell that gear right now is that you have to sell it while it’s hot. If there’s a Gear Score increase announcement for Season 10, the prices of Gear Score 700 to 725 items will plummet. Nobody will want that rusty old gear when there’s going to be a new endgame to aim for! So, sell your surplus gear while it’s still worth a decent amount of Gold.

More Gypsum Orbs, Please

As we mentioned before, Gypsum Orbs are one of the main things you want from the Well of Fortune. With that in mind, you should also purchase the daily Gypsum Orbs from your faction’s rewards shop.

You’ll mainly want the Gypsum Orbs for upgrading Artifacts. Gear will likely be devalued or made obsolete if there’s an increase in Gear Score, which is looking likely. However, Artifacts will remain important and relevant, nonetheless. So, upgrading the ones you have should help a lot at the start of the season.

Trophy Variety is the Spice of Life

Another important thing to keep an eye out for is Combat Trophies. It’s a good idea to get a variety of different Combat Trophy types instead of focusing on a single one. Currently, ones that give buffs to damage against Angry Earth are the best, since that fits the current raids best.

However, we already know that Season 10 will introduce new Raids and challenges during its runtime. As such, having a variety of Combat Trophies at your disposal will give you more options. Basically, we’re telling you not to put all of your eggs in one basket. If you can, aim for Ultimate Combat Trophies, as they provide the best benefits!

Other Things Worth Saving

To finish up, here’s a quick list of other resources and currencies that you should consider just saving for the time being:

  • All caches and containers. We mentioned this back in the first section, but it’s worth repeating. Do not open caches and other resource containers you have. At least, don’t do it if you don’t really need to. It’s best to wait until Season 10, just in case of any potential reward buffs.
  • Goldcursed Coconuts. Will most likely be required for upgrading and crafting new high-end gear and Artifacts.
  • Materia, in case the Gear Score for items crafted with it increases.
  • Azoth Salt, as long as you’re under the current cap of 100,000. As before, that’s in case the rewards you can trade it for get upgraded.

With all of that, you should now know everything you need to prepare for the upcoming Season 10 of New World: Aeternum. Keep in mind, though, this is all ultimately our educated guesses! We’re not clairvoyant, sadly, so we don’t fully know what to expect from the new season. Nonetheless, we hope this helps you.
