While it’s possible that this trick could get patched out later on, you can still use the trick as of version 1.0.13. It doesn’t save much time or anything like that, but it does prevent you from failing the fishing minigame!

How to Catch Fish Every Time | Simple Fishing Trick
To make use of the fishing trick I alluded to, you’ll first need to start fishing as normal. Go to any fishing spot you wish, pick whichever bait you want to use, and throw a line.

Now, for the trick, first make sure that your yellow bar is over the green gauge at the top of the screen. It should look like the example above, for reference.
Then, all you need to do is to open up any menu. Really, that’s all there is to it!
An easy one that works on both PC and Mobile is the Chat menu. While the prompt is invisible, you just need to press in the area above your UID in the bottom left corner. It’s roughly where the square is on the example above.
Alternatively, you can just open up some other menu using a shortcut. For example, press L on PC to open the Formation screen. With a controller, you can press the Touchscreen (PS5) or View Button (Xbox) to bring up the Map screen.
Either way, manage to open any menu and then just wait a moment. This essentially pauses the fishing minigame gauges, but does not actually pause the fishing minigame itself.

It’s worth noting that I can personally confirm this method is still working as of this writing. That is, on version 1.0.13 of the game. It’s always possible that this gets patched out later on, however!
Various Caveats to Keep in Mind
Now, the fishing trick I explained before is not 100% flawless. Besides the fact that it could possibly be patched out by the developers, there are also some other things to keep in mind!
The first is that the trick does not work as a shortcut to catch fish you shouldn’t. If your rod doesn’t have enough durability to catch a fish, for example, you still won’t be able to catch it.
Additionally, this trick does not make catching a fish any faster. It will still take more or less the same time as it would if you just did it normally. So, it does not help speed things up in any notable way.
Nonetheless, I do still think this is a pretty nifty trick you can use to catch fish every time in Neverness to Everness! It doesn’t allow you to get fish you shouldn’t or speed things up, but it allows you to ensure you never fail the fishing minigame itself. So, use it while you can!
