EA and Battlefield Studios just dropped the first official Battlefield 6 Season 1 gameplay trailer, and it’s pure chaos in motion. The two-minute video gives fans their first look at Blackwell Fields and Eastwood, two new maps arriving with the Rogue Ops update on October 28.
“Blackwell Fields spans besieged facilities and homesteads under a burning horizon, supporting all combat sizes with land and air,” says the official description. Meanwhile, Eastwood turns a sunny California golf resort into a smoldering frontline packed with tanks, helicopters, and close-quarter shootouts.

EA Launches Battlefield 6 Season 1 With a Bang
Battlefield 6 kicked off strong when it launched on October 10, and EA clearly plans to keep the explosions rolling. The Season 1 roadmap splits post-launch content into three phases: Rogue Ops, California Resistance, and Winter Offensive. Each brings new maps, weapons, and modes to keep players busy.

Rogue Ops launches October 28 and adds Blackwell Fields, Strikepoint, and new weapons like the GGH-22 pistol and SOR-300SC carbine. The Mini Scout sniper rifle also joins the lineup, along with the Traverser Mark 2 vehicle, new rail covers, and LPVO attachments.
The second phase, California Resistance, drops on November 18 and introduces the Eastwood map and the Sabotage limited-time mode. EA promises at least three more weapons and a wave of cosmetic unlocks for dedicated players.
Season 1 ends with Winter Offensive on December 9. This update transforms the Empire State map with a frosty Ice Lock makeover. EA also adds the Ice Climbing Axe melee weapon for those who prefer close-quarters combat.
