Battlefield 6 has just released its California Resistance update not long ago, bringing with it a ton of changes. Unfortunately, the new update also comes with a handful of broken changes.
The most prominent issue is the one with defibrillators. According to players, the new patch has broken the hitboxes for the defibrillators.
As a result, it might be harder to revive a fallen player as most of the hits are just failing. Fortunately, Battlefield Studios was quick to resolve the issue by reverting the device to how it was prior to the update.

That said, alongside the update comes a backend update that most players aren’t aware of. Apparently, bot kills no longer count toward your K/D ratio when you view your profile page.
According to Battlefield Bulletin, bot kills have been removed from your K/D ratio in an effort to make stats accurate and fair.
So if you take a look at your in-game profile page now, you might see a noticeable drop in your K/D ratio. If that’s the case, chances are, most of the kills you got were from bots.
Backend Update Will Now Show Your Actual K/D Ratio as It Removed Bot Kills
Retired pro-player Otto Borstrom, who goes by ottr on X (formerly Twitter), showcased his new stats following the change:
As you can see, his kills went from 88,838 down to 24,227, bringing his K/D ratio from 92.950 all the way down to 3.814.
This update could deter bot farmers who inflate their K/D ratio by mainly going for bot kills. Besides, K/D is very easy to abuse, so this should be a welcome change, considering it will reflect a player’s actual performance against other players.
However, it’s worth noting that while Battlefield 6 did remove bot kills, death by bots unfortunately still counts.

If you find yourself getting killed by bots a lot of times, it could definitely affect your K/D by a lot.
So far, there is no actual confirmation from Battlefield Studios regarding this matter, though their comms department did post about other changes to the game.
The only takeaway from this is that this is Battlefield Studios’ attempt at stopping bot farming. However, when they are going to address the death by bots situation still remains to be seen.
