Forge the lantern of memories!

on

One of the quests you will get to play in the WoW – The War Within is “The Forging of Memories”. The main objective of this quest is to help Korgran forge a lantern.

You will be helping him by providing the right materials when he asks for them and adding them into the furnace. In this guide, I will show you what materials he asks for and their locations.

Guide on The Forging of Memories Quest

If you do not know where the quest is located then you can find it in the location marked in the image below on the Isle of Dorn. Exact waypoint for it is “/way Isle of Dorn 57.01 42.44 Korgran Quest“. Once you get there, talk to Korgran and accept the quest.

After accepting the quest, he will start forging a lantern. Text bubbles will appear above him which will indicate the material you have to add in the furnace. He will randomly ask for the following three materials:

  • Coal
    • “We need more heat! Toss in some coals“.
  • Charged Core
    • “Would you please hand me a charged core?”.
  • Ore
    • “Would you toss me some of that ore, please?”

All of the three materials are available in the same room. I have marked them in the image below. Simply interact with the material when Korgran asks for it and your character will automatically throw it into the furnace. Keep doing this until the lantern is forged.

All Materials Marked

Once the lantern is forged, interact with Korgran to mark the quest completed. You will get Earthen Allied Race and Schematic: Stonebound Lantern along with gold and experience as rewards for completing the quest.

Whether it's the old classics like Final Fantasy, Advance Wars on the GBA, JRPGs like Persona 4 Golden, Disgaea on the Vita or mainstream titles like Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption 2, Haider has played them all. Even with 200+ titles under his belt, his passion for gaming is just as strong as it was a decade ago. Writing has given him the chance to spread this passion with others.
