Path of Exile – How To Set up Farming | Settlers of Kalguur

The Settlers of Kalguur league in Path of Exile lets you manage the town of Kingsmarch, and that includes the ability to set up a farming operation.

One of the new NPCs, Sonja, will help you set up your very own farm. You can then use the produce you get from it to trade for goods via shipping or keep them to upgrade Kingsmarch’s buildings.

How To Set up Farming | Path of Exile: Settlers of Kalguur

Before you can set up Farming in the Settlers of Kalguur league for Path of Exile, you’ll need to upgrade your Recruitment to Rank 2 at Kingsmarch. You can upgrade it by talking to Raulf in the northeastern headquarters building. You’ll just need to have 15 Gold and 5 Orichalcum Ore.

With that done, you now need to talk to Sonja the Farmer. She’s on the farm directly north of the headquarters building in Kingsmarch, so she should be easy to spot as soon as you upgrade Recruitment. She’ll allow you to unlock Rank 1 Farming for 45 Gold.

Now that you’ve established Farming, you can further set things up by interacting with the Farming Plots within the farm. Just click on them to bring up the Farm Plot interface.

Here you can assign whatever Produce you wish to start farming, with Wheat and Corn being the default ones at the start. You’ll unlock more types of produce as you upgrade the Farming Rank in Kingsmarch.

You’ll also need to assign Farmers to the plot so they can tend to it and harvest crops.

That means, of course, that you’ll need to head back to headquarters and talk to Raulf again. Ask him to recruit workers and select any Farmers you want, which are denoted by the shovel-shaped icon near their names. As always, the number near the icon denotes their Farming Rank, with higher-rank workers being more efficient but also costlier.

But well, that’s all there is to know about how to set up farming! Hire the Farmers and assign them to the plots, then wait to reap what you sow on Sonja’s farm.
