Zenless Zone Zero has a very charming group of pets called Bangboo, and they’re much more important than most players might first assume.

You might think these tiny robo-bunnies wouldn’t be particularly helpful, at least not in combat… and that’s where you’re wrong! They have a variety of skills that can greatly aid you and your team when exploring the Hollows.

In this short article, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about Bangboo pets and why they’re so important.

Here’s Why Pets are Very Important in Zenless Zone Zero | Bangboo Explained

Bangboo Selection | Pets Are Very Important In Zenless Zone Zero & Here's Why

Your pets in Zenless Zone Zero, known as Bangboo as mentioned previously, are essentially your 4th party members. While it’s true that you only get to pick up to three Agents for your party, you’ll always have to fill the 4th slot with a Bangboo. That’s why it’s important to not neglect them, as they’re a key part of your squad!

Uniquely enough, Bangboo are also only obtainable through F2P methods in the game’s Gacha. We have a full article exploring the game’s Gacha system, but the gist of it is that you can only obtain Bangboo through their special banner. What’s more, you can only roll for them by using Boopons, which you primarily obtain through normal gameplay.

Aside from their undeniable charm, the Bangboo can help out in combat in multiple ways. There are about a dozen different types of them currently in the game, each one with their own special abilities. Which one you pick will depend on your playstyle and team, so make sure you check out what they all do whenever you put one in your party.

Pay attention to their abilities and elements to see which one fits your party best.

Unlike Agents, you can’t directly control Bangboos yourself, however. They act freely at all times, with each different type performing a different action. For example, Exploreboos don’t even attack enemies, they just dig up stuff to buff your party with. Meanwhile, Amillions prefer a more direct approach, using a machine gun to fill enemies with lead!

Ultimately, don’t underestimate your pets. Bangboo are as important for your party in Zenless Zone Zero as any Agent. That’s why it’s important to upgrade them and pick the right ones to aid your Agents on the field!

Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
