Wuthering Waves: What To Farm Before Union Level 40?

Union Level is the main way in which your progress in Wuthering Waves is measured. As you progress through the game, your Union Level will increase and that will pretty much affect all aspects of the game. Union Level directly affects World Level, and World Level determines how hard the game will be and what drops you get.

The biggest breakpoint in Union Levels can be felt once you hit Union Level 40. A lot of people consider this to be the start of Wuthering Waves’s end game. Enemies will start feeling much harder, and the drops you get will be a lot better.

That being said, there are certain things that everyone should have done before hitting level 40. The end game of Wuthering Waves is a lot of fun, but only if you are well prepared.

What To Farm Before Union Level 40?

Before hitting Union Level 40, you will want to be as strong as possible. To be that strong, you will mainly need to focus on farming 3 types of resources.

• Echos to improve the strength of your Echos
• Ascension Material to upgrade your Resonators
• Astrite, the games premium currency

So, how do you get each resource in this game?

Echos

Echos are going to be useful all throughout Wuthering Waves. They are an essential part of the game’s customization, as they can provide your Resonators with valuable stats and attributes. As you progress through Wuthering Waves, you will constantly need to find better Echos to help you keep up with the game’s increasing difficulty.

To get better Echos, you will want to level up your Data Bank. The Data Bank in Wuthering Waves is responsible for keeping track of all the Echos that you have encountered in this game. More importantly, the Data Bank also determines how likely you are to get higher rarity Echos. The higher your Data Bank level is, the more likely you are to get high-rarity Echos. Besides your Data Bank level, Tacet Challenges are also a great way to get high-level Echos. You can get a bunch of high-level Echos in each Tacet Challenge that you complete, and the drops get better the higher your Union Level is.

Ascension Material

One of the main ways to make your Resonators stronger is by leveling them up. This will help increase their stats and essentially make them stronger. Like a lot of other gacha games, Wuthering Waves has a system in place that forces players to find specific material in order to upgrade their Resonators. The material you will need in Wuthering Waves is Ascension material.

So for whichever character you are using, make sure you have all the necessary Ascension materials to get to a high enough level. You will get plenty of Ascension material through the various quests and challenges in this game. Look for challenges that will reward you with the exact material you need.

TIP: If you want to farm a specific ascension material, when you’re on the Resonator screen, click “Ascend” to see what materials you need to ascend the Resonator. Then, click the ascension material you want to farm, and the game will give you a list of ways you can acquire said material. In some cases, the game will allow you to track the activity of which you can get the ascension material.

Astrite

Finally, you will also need to have a good amount of Astrite going into the end game. Astrite is Wuthering Waves’ premium currency and is extremely useful to have on hand. Astrite is the main way to get Resonator pulls in this game, which is the main way to get new characters.
