In Granblue Fantasy Relink, you can find a lot of chests littered around the world. Some of these require specific keys to be opened and contain extra special goodies. Eventually, you will stumble across some chests that require the special Gold and Silver Keys.
To get these keys, you need to complete some quests. These quests can be tricky to find and complete, which is where this guide comes into use!
How to Get Gold and Silver Key
To get the Gold and Silver keys, you need to find and complete two different quests. For the Gold key quest, you need to kill a specific enemy type. For the Silver Key, you have to beat a boss and get the Golem Key item.
Gold Key:
The Gold Key is required to open Gold Chests in the Seedhollow Castle Area. The quest you have to complete in order to get the Gold Key is pretty simple to both find and finish. We will be showing you an especially easy way to help you complete it easier.
Keep in mind though that you need to have played the game for a while before you unlock it. You have to progress to almost the end of the game, Chapter 9. Be sure to level your characters up as they’re in for some fights ahead.
To start the quest, you need to find the “Adventurer’s Partner” in Seedhollow Castle. They can be found close to the quest counter and should be easy to find. They give you the quest “Out of Serpentine Spite”.
Accept the quest, and then we can be on our way. All we need to do in order to finish this quest is defeat some cobras in the desert area. However, there is a way to optimize this quest and finish it in an easier way.
After having accepted the quest, go over to the Quest Counter. Sort by type, and look for a Survival quest. Choose the quest titled “Rilla Done Did It”. The reason we are doing this is because, for this quest, you need to fight a few cobras and take them down. By doing this, you should be able to finish the quest for the Gold Key.
After you’re done with this quest, head back to the “Adventurer’s Partner”. The quest should be completed and you should have the rewards of 1 Gold Key and 10 Fortitude Crystals.
Silver Key:
The Silver Key is an item required to open Silver and Blue Chests in and around the Folca and Seedhollow Castle region. The process of completing the quest that gives you your Silver Key is a bit trickier than the Gold Key.
You can find the quest for the Silver Key pretty early in your playthrough. When you first enter Folca, find the “Nearly Retired Adventurer” NPC standing close to the quest counter. He will assign you the “A Lingering Regret” quest.
Finding the Golden Finger
The requirement for finishing the quest is to find and give 5 Golem Fingers to the Nearly Retired Adventurer. You won’t be able to get these until you reach the end of Chapter 6. The final boss of Chapter 6, called the “Excavallion” gives you your first Golem Finger.
Make sure your party is leveled to an average of Level 30 before taking on this boss. Once this mission is completed, you will be given a few Golem Fingers. Keep in mind though, that after beating Excavallion, Golem Fingers become available to collect in other ways as well.
If you end up using the Golem Fingers received from this boss fight elsewhere, you can just take on any quests that have them as a reward. The best quest for farming Golem Fingers is the quest where you have to beat a boss called “Desert Golem”.
Getting the Silver Key
Once you have your Golem Finger, head back to the Nearly Retired Adventurer to receive your rewards. You should get the sigil for Aegis 2 along with the Silver Key. This Silver Key isn’t discarded after one use, so it’s something to treasure.
This guide should make the process of finishing these quests and receiving the Gold and Silver Keys much easier. Now that you have these keys, find locked chests and put them to use!
