(the) Gnorp Apologue is a charming incremental game, and it can be quite fun to unlock every achievement if you’re a completionist.
The achievements in this game also give you more to do than just beating the game, as some of them are related to some of the more obscure mechanics of the game.
In this guide, we’ll tell you what the 17 achievements in (the) Gnorp Apologue are and how to get them!
How to Unlock All Achievements
We’ll be covering every achievement one by one. We’ll tell you its name and its official description, then tell you tips and pointers to help you unlock them!
Part 1
A gnorp is born – Get your first Gnorp. This will be your first achievement in the game. Just build Housing from The Stash at the start of the game to get it.
The ground trembles – Reach your first compression event. Compression Events happen automatically once your pile of shards grows large enough, so just keep playing and hitting the rock until it triggers.
New beginning – Prestige for the first time. As you start to produce and collect shards faster and faster, a bar at the top of the screen will fill up. When it fills up, you will be given the option to Prestige.
Prestiging will restart the game, getting rid of all your current buildings, but allowing you to cash out your Talent Points for meta-progression upgrades. Just Prestige once to get this achievement!
Getting somewhere – Prestige and gather a total of 10 Talent Points. Prestiging was explained in the description of “New beginning”. Just keep doing it until you accrue a total of 10 Talent Points.
It didn’t deserve this – Brutally, viciously murder a drone before its time by clicking on it. Simply put, build the Robotics building and buy at least one Drone. Click on the drone to destroy it for this achievement.
Mountaineers #1 – Command mountaineers to collect the most. The easiest way to achieve this is to set your Runners to Rest or have a Breaktime while you already have a lot of Mountaineers.
It’s also best to have no Drones or Zygnorps already, either. Your Mountaineers just need to be at the top of your collection ranking, so the less competition they have the better!
Part 2
They burn bright, and hit the rock so right – Have 10 bombers bathed in fire at the same time. Bombers will get lit on fire if they hit the rock while it burns.
Make sure to get every fire-related ability you can, such as “Fire Breath” from The Slam Club and “Fire Arrows” from the Archery Range.
Have as many bombers and slammers as possible with the fire upgrades and the achievement should pop before long!
MY EYES – This is your own fault. Use the secret ultra-bright palette scheme by pressing F8 anytime during the game and you’ll instantly get this achievement.
Gnorpcalibur! – Embed Gnorpcalibur in the rock. Build the Shrine from The House of Shards and then get 9 Gnorps. With your 9 Gnorps, get the “Find the Chosen One” upgrade from the Shrine.
What do I choose?? – Have 3 unspent Zybellium. You get one Zybellium, also known as Zybes, for every Compression Event. Some talents and upgrades can increase how many Zybes you get, as well.
Nonetheless, you just need to acquire 3 Zybelliums and choose not to spend them until the achievement pops up.
Speed – Reach the first compression event within 5 minutes of clicking the rock. As the official description states, you just need to get your first Compression Event quickly after a prestige.
You should focus on having more damage dealers than collectors when going for this achievement. If you want, we have a guide on how to beat the game quickly that is sure to help you get this achievement!
An event will play out with one of your Gnorps acquiring Gnorcalibur and impaling the rock with it, which will unlock the achievement.
Part 3
(the) Finale – Beat (the) Gnorp Apologue. The game is considered “beaten” once you complete 10 Compression Events, and you’ll most likely need to Prestige a lot and accrue many talent points for this.
There are many ways to reach a win, thanks to the game’s open nature. Click here for a build guide for Compression 10 that you can peruse if you want to know a guaranteed winning strategy!
Uh, is this allowed? – Acquire shards without having built The Stash. As soon as you Prestige, click the rock to make some shards appear, and then push them to the right side of the screen.
It takes the Gnorps a few seconds to build The Stash at the start of the game. Your goal is to push the shards toward The Stash before it’s even built. Do it quickly and you’ll get the achievement!
Gnorp Slam! – Assemble 100 Slammers. It’s simplicity itself, just get 100 Slammers from The Slam Club to get this. Make sure to build as much housing as possible as you’ll need a total of over 100 Gnorps!
Retro-Futuristic Warfare – Have a riflegnorp shoot grenade arrows. You can only get this once you have unlocked the final set of talents, which requires at least 17 Talent Points.
Once you have the Talent Points, get the “Future to the Back” and “Modern Warfare” talents. Then play the game normally until you can build The Gun V. Rock.
In The Gun V. Rock building, get at least 1 Riflegnorp and the Rocket Launcher upgrade. Then, set the Gun V. Rock building to the “Modern Warfare” attunement and the achievement will unlock after a while.
Part 4
Coax it – Coax successfully 20 times in a row. You can only get this once you have enough talent points to unlock the “Zybellium Mastery” talent.
Once you have the talent, a lightbulb will appear at the top of your Rock Analysis Lab and start blinking. Click the lightbulb when it blinks and you’ll draw any loose Zybes towards your lab.
So, there you have it! Unlocking all 17 achievements in (the) Gnorp Apologue might seem like an overwhelming task, but by following this detailed guide, we have no doubt that you’ll triumph get them all!
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
