Despite its early troubles and setbacks, No Man’s Sky achieved popularity in record time. Even today, in 2024, it ranks as one of the most played and most popular games on the market at the moment.

This survival, action-adventure game developed by Hello Games revolves around exploring galaxies and exciting interstellar battles against worthy foes.

In today’s article, however, we will tone it down a notch and go back to our roots, to farming. We’ll give you a guide as well as some tips and tricks on how to farm more efficiently in No Man’s Sky. Let’s get started!

Farming Stacks

Stacks, as you probably already know, are large vaults where you can harvest 2 biodomes at once. We’ll try to keep things as simple as possible.

Each stack consists of up to 7 biodomes and houses from 109 to 111 usable crop plots. This means that the yield can be as high as 11,000 cactus flesh, 5,500 frostwort, and 2,250 star bulbs per click.

The first thing to consider is how far from the edge of your flooring you want the dome entrance to be. You have 3 spacing options:

  • The first one will have the doors ever so slightly disconnected from the floor’s edge.
  • The second will have it in line with the floor.
  • The third will have the doorway further in.
Stacking domes

We recommend planting crops per layer to ensure that you have planted all of the crops that you want. You don’t want to forget something as it is incredibly difficult to undo this process once completed.

Please note that once built, you will be unable to enter the domes. If you delete a dome, it will delete all of the crops contained within.
