Sometimes there’s no better offense than a good defense, and that’s the case in Death Must Die if you have the best tank build possible.

Not only will you be able to survive everything and become unstoppable, but you’ll also dish back the damage you take!

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to make a build that can kill Death through sheer resilience.

Best Tank Build Guide

Death Must Die: Best Tank Build Guide - Avoron

If you want to be a real tank build in Death Must Die, you’re going to need three parts for this build.

The first one is to pick Avoron. Fairly straightforward, right? He’s the tankiest of all the characters by default, after all.

You will want to take either The Sign of The Chosen One or The Sign of The Guardian for him. They both aid in defense, just through very different means. Both work well for this build, though!

Alternatively, you can go with The Sign of The Disciple to make sure that only get Adept and higher blessings from Gods!

Equilibrium sword

Whatever you go with, the second important part of this build is the Equilibrium unique sword.

This sword drastically improves the effectiveness of Heals, Regenerations, and Lifesteals whenever you get hit.

In essence, you should ideally heal back any damage you take instantly!

Misc equipment

Other equipment doesn’t matter as much as this sword. Nonetheless, you should make sure to equip gear that provides a good amount of Armor, Heals, Alteration Dice, Reroll Dice, and Banish Dice.

The third and final part of this build is your main goddess: Lady Justice. You absolutely need to go for Lady Justice with this build!

Why You Need Lady Justice For This Build

Lady Justice's Consecration

Lady Justice’s Consecration should be your primary goal from available blessings, and that’s why we recommend having equipment that boosts the number of die you get!

This blessing will make you instantly heal back a partial amount of damage you take whenever you get hit and also deal damage back to your enemies.

Of course, the healing is greatly buffed by Equilibrium, making you nearly unkillable!

Other Lady Justice boons

On top of that, you should also get some other of Lady Justice’s blessings. Chiefly, Inner Peace is great for passive health regen and Purifcation will further increase the effectiveness of heals.

As for other gods, you’re free to pick however you see fit.

Your build should be able to survive anything thanks to Lady Justice’s blessings, so you should instead focus on increasing your damage with other gods.

Krom's God of War

Summer is a good choice, as all of her boons improve your damage. However, it’s also a good idea to go with Krom if he offers the legendary God of War boon.

God of War vastly increases the damage you deal, but also increases the damage you take. However, this build is so incredibly resilient that you shouldn’t have to worry about the increased damage!

Time is also a solid choice thanks to Warped Strike and Gem High.

Tankiest Avoron gameplay

Warped Strike increases your damage and makes enemies drop Experience Shards with every hit, while Gem High gives you an overall Speed buff whenever you get Experience Shards.

Nonetheless, you have a lot of free reign for your choices of gods with this build, so it’s fun to play around with!

Just remember, try to get Lady Justice’s Consecration blessing as soon as possible! Your build’s viability relies entirely on that one blessing, truthfully.

Meanwhile, if you’re also looking for a build focused on Luck and Speed, check out our guide for that as well.
