There are many playstyles to choose from in Death Must Die, but nothing gets crazier than going for a build focused on Luck and Speed.

Luck and Speed play surprisingly well together, with higher Luck making it easier to trigger effects that boost Speed. On top of that, Luck-reliant boons are frankly overpowered once you have enough Luck!

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to make the most out of both Luck and Speed at once.

Best Luck & Speed Build Guide

Death Must Die: Best Luck & Speed Guide - Nixi Gameplay

If all you want is Luck and Speed, then your best character to pick is Nixi. She’s the most naturally agile and lucky of the characters, so she’s a perfect fit for this build!

For her sign, you want to pick either The Sign of the Viper for Attack Speed or The Sign of the Rabbit for Luck.

It’s too bad that we don’t get to pick both, so you have to pick whether you want to lean more towards Luck or Speed!

Generally speaking, though, The Sign of the Rabbit should work better for this build. You’ll be using your Luck to boost your Speed, thanks to your equipment.

Jackrabbit knife

On that note, when it comes to equipment, your most important item is the Jackrabbit. It’s a Unique knife with the “Sugar Rush” effect.

Sugar Rush has a random chance to boost your movement speed for some time after dashing. What’s more, this effect’s chance is increased by your Luck stat!

Cool Off relic

For other equipment, you should look for any equipment that has the “Cool Off” special effect.

Cool Off grants your dashes a chance to instantly recharge after use, which also increases based on your Luck.

As you can see, this build is focused on using dashes frequently, making Nixi extremely agile.

On top of that, your high Luck should make it much more likely to proc the Cool Off and Sugar Rush effects!

Lucky jewel equipment

Other than that, you should make sure to equip any gear that boosts Luck, Movement Speed, Dash Charges, and Attack Speed.

Since equipment’s effects are randomized, though, you’ll need to rely on real-life luck to get gear for this build.

What Gods To Focus On

Death Must Die: Best Luck & Speed Guide - Gods

Your most important God for this build will be Leigong, God of Lightning.

Make sure to get his Haste boon for faster Movement Speed, and Brevity to reduce the cooldown of your spells.

Also, get his Chain Lightning boon. This boon has a chance to randomly cause chain lightning whenever you attack, with the chance increasing based on your Luck.

On top of that, your Attack Speed should be high enough that you’ll get to spam regular attacks quickly, further raising the number of Chain Lightning effects!

Leigong boons

Don’t miss out on Lighting Bolt either, as it will summon lighting to deal damage when you move a certain distance.

You’ll be moving around a lot, so you will summon lightning constantly!

Similarly, you should also get Flare from Summer. Flare has a chance to damage enemies once they start attacking you, and it should trigger very frequently due to your high luck.

Time's Gem High

Finally, Time should be your third choice of God for this build. The main reason to go with Time is for his Gem High boon.

It will drastically increase your Attack and Movement speed whenever you grab Experience Shards.

Mort's Serendipity

Alternatively, you can choose Mort instead for her Serendipity boon. It will further boost your Luck, but you will miss out on Gem High’s Speed buffs.

Also, grab the Fleet-Footed legendary boon from the Moirai if it shows up. It will give you an extra dash, which is always welcome!

Focus on these gods and boons and your Nixi will be pretty much unkillable. Flare, Lightning Bolt, and Chain Lightning should trigger constantly and decimate Death’s minions with ease!
