However, there’s also a small easter egg referencing the car’s origin during this mission.
You’ll get a GPS Hash to find the car during the mission, which is the following seemingly random set of characters: u0wt8vtrm6y9
Interestingly, user Gacut pointed out on Reddit that this is a real Geohash code. As such, it can be translated to the following real-world coordinates:
Lat (λ) 48.81076882593334
Lng (φ) 9.181027952581644
Short: 48.81076; 9.18102
When you input these coordinates into Google Maps, you’ll find that it leads to a real Porsche manufacturing factory in Stuttgart, Germany.
Additionally, Glitch Unlimited noticed that the official history of the Porsche 911 references this factory.
The Porsche 911 was first manufactured in the very same Stuttgart factory, in Zuffenhausen. In fact, it’s still manufactured there to this day.
So, as you can see, that random assortment of characters was actually a lot more meaningful than most players would realize.
If we were to be dramatic, we could even say that “u0wt8vtrm6y9” reveals the entire history of the Porsche 911. That’s a bit of an exaggeration, but it’s not too far off from the truth either!
After all, a lot of us wouldn’t have known about the car’s history if it weren’t for this little easter egg. If you’re looking for all of the easter eggs in update 2.1, check out our complete update 2.1 overview!
