In this article, we’ll rank all of the shotguns in the game from worst to best to help you choose which ones to focus on.
All Shotguns Ranked From Worst to Best – Update 2.1
Low Tier
Similar to our revolver tier list, it feels almost disingenuous to have a “low tier” for shotguns. After all, they’re an amazing weapon type and one of the best in Cyberpunk 2077!

Medium Tier
These are your middle-of-the-road shotguns, a step up from the low tier but not quite “must-have” material. Definitely fantastic until you can get your hands on some high-tier shotguns, though!

Top 3 Best Shotguns
The crème de la crème of shotguns, these top 3 shotguns are your go-to choices when you want to focus on shotguns!
Just like we’ve done with our tier list for revolvers and tier list for pistols, we’ll be giving the top 3 a special spotlight and telling you why they earned their spots here!
Order – An iconic variant of the Satara shotgun, with a longer charge time. To make up for the longer charge time, though, a full charge can straight-up vaporize enemies with its insanely high EMP damage.
It can take a bit to get used to the Order’s playstyle. You have to be slower to make the most of it, due to charging times. That does make it play quite uniquely, though, and its damage is second to none!
Pozhar X-MOD2 – A simply better variant of the Pozhar shotgun, with faster reloads and more uniform pellet patterns. It’s just enough of an upgrade to take the Pozhar into our 2nd spot!
Unlike the Order before it, this shotgun is all about speed. It can rapid-fire to deal with constant heavy damage, has quick reloads, and is just plain fun to use.
