If you have played Breath of the Wild, then you might already be familiar with Korok Seeds. These are essentially collectibles that you can find throughout the world of Hyrule.
Luckily, they’re making a comeback in Tears of the Kingdom. This time, fans of the series will be glad to know that they still serve the same purpose.
However, if you’re a newcomer to the series, you might wonder what Korok seeds are even used for. Don’t worry, as we’ll show you their purpose in this guide.
How Do You Spend Korok Seeds in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Long story short, you’ll use Korok seeds to upgrade your inventory, similar to what they did back in Breath of the Wild. However, you need to speak to an NPC named Hestu to do this.
The problem is where to find Hestu in the first place.
You can find Hestus on top of a hill slightly northwest of North Hyrule Plain. During your first meeting, he will give you a side quest called Hestu’s Concerns.
He’ll talk about the four trees right up ahead being scary. All you need to do is take down those trees using an axe.
Do keep in mind that these aren’t ordinary trees. In fact, they will fight back, so you’ll have a bit of a battle going on. Once you’ve taken them down, go back and speak to Hestu.
He’ll then tell you about the Korok seeds and even mention that if you give him some, he’ll expand your inventory for you.
As long as you have a Korok seed, choose the “Yes please” option in the dialog then choose which stash you want to upgrade.
After that, Hestu will then move to Lookout Landing after progressing through the game.
If you want to spend Korok seeds to upgrade your inventory, look for him in the location above instead.
