Tar pits are one of the challenges you will deal with as you explore Koboh in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

While the tar itself isn’t harmful to you if you move quickly, getting out of these pits will require you to solve some puzzles.

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to get past this section so you can continue the story.

The first tar pit you will find yourself in is pretty easy to get out of. It’s a single platform with a tar dam nearby.

Use your Jedi Force Pull on the nearby bomb and then throw it at the dam, which will cause lots of tar to fill the pit. This will also elevate the platform you’re on, allowing you to jump out!

Next, you will reach a yellow bridge that’s stuck with some tar. You can’t do anything with it right now, so ignore it and jump to the left of it.

You will now be overlooking a massive tar pit. Just like with the bridge, you can’t do anything yet here.

Double jump to the faraway grapple point and climb up the wall where some raiders are. Take them out and then continue to your left, jumping to a platform with a couple more enemies.

Follow the tunnel until you reach a room with a broken wall and a machine. BD-1 will show interest in the machine, so just let him interact with it.

This will make a bomb drone pop up from the circular panel on the floor. Pick it up and chuck it against the broken wall to finish taking it down, bringing you back to the start of the area.

You will be close to the bridge that has the tar stuck to it now. Grab a bomb and throw it at the bridge to remove the tar, allowing you to walk across.

Now lure another bomb close to the large tar pit and grab it. Throw it against the wall that has tar seeping through to break it down.

The tar will flood into the pit, raising the platforms and letting you jump across. You’re all done!
