Black Desert Mobile finally has cooking, thanks to the recent April 25th patch!
With this mechanic, you can gather a variety of ingredients to prepare meals, which you can eat to recover health instead of using potions.
In this guide, we’ll look at everything you need to know to start cooking!
How to Start Cooking in Black Desert Mobile
To get started with cooking, you must have a Tier 5 Town Hall. This will also unlock the Farm and Ranch which are great sources of ingredients.
You also need to gather ingredients. Most of them can be obtained by farming and butchering livestock, but you can also get some from Mediah Merchant Union Delivery rewards.
Farming can take a lot of time, but you want to get accustomed to it if you want to cook!
Once you level up your Town Hall and get some ingredients, just open the menu and tap on the “Cooking” button.
Making a Meal
The Cooking screen will show you a list of available recipes and the ingredients required for each meal. Tap on a meal and then tap on the “Cook” button to make it if you have the ingredients.
You can also tap on the “Batch Cook” option to make multiples of the same meal as long as you have the ingredients to do so.
Thankfully, there’s no random chance when cooking! You will always make a when cooking, no matter what. There are no random failures or anything of the sort.
Lastly, you can tap on any of the ingredients for each recipe. This will open a pop-up window that tells you how to get the ingredient.
Leveling Up and Unlocking Recipes
You will unlock the ability to make new meals as you level up your Cooking Level. The game will let you know which Cooking Level you need to reach for locked meals.
Meanwhile, you gain Cooking Experience anytime you prepare meals, so you just have to cook frequently to level up.
Batch Cooking when you have loads of ingredients is the fastest way to gain experience!
Higher-tier meals will also give you more Cooking Experience. Focus on them if you wish to level up fast.
