Season 3 is introducing a few new operators to Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer, a couple of which are actually familiar faces who featured in the game’s campaign!
If you want to know who these new operators are and how to unlock them, this guide will help you out.
How to Unlock Season 3’s Operators in Modern Warfare 2
There are three new Operators this season who are as follows:
Alejandro Vargas – A Mexican Special Forces operator featured in the game’s campaign. He will be part of the SpecGru faction in multiplayer.
Valeria Garza – A Mexican drug lady and leader of the Las Almas Cartel. She’s one of the main antagonists of the game’s campaign. She will belong to the KorTac faction in the multiplayer.
Atom – A brand new character about which we know nothing. Well, we do know that he belongs to the KorTac faction at least!
While the beloved Alejandro Vargas and Valeria Garza are debuting as Operators for Season 3 of the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, they won’t be available to most players.
Instead, they are only available by purchasing the Battle Pass. If you don’t want to spend extra money on the game’s Battle Pass, you won’t be able to get them at all.
It’s unknown if they will ever become available by any other means, but that’s all we have right now.
Atom, on the other hand, will require you to splurge even more! He’s only available as part of the BlackCell Battle Pass bundle.
This is a premium Battle Pass option that has some unique perks. Among these is the ability to unlock Atom as an operator.
As with Alejandro and Valeria, it’s unknown if there will ever be another way to unlock this character.
It’s somewhat disappointing that there’s no way to unlock these characters by earning them during gameplay, but there you have it.
If you wish to get these characters, you will simply have to purchase the Battle Pass or the BlackCell Battle Pass bundle. Since the BlackCell bundle includes the Battle Pass, you will get all 3 characters.

Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
