A Plague Tale Requiem: How to Lower the Central Platform

A Plague Tale Requiem is an action-adventure game that will show the fate of a cursed boy. You are going to play the life of Amicia and Hugo as you stop Hugo’s curse.

It will follow the events after the award-winning A Plague Tale Innocence. In chapter 2 you need to lower the central platform to progress through and we are going to show you how to do it.

How to Lower the Central Platform in A Plague Tale Requiem

In Chapter 2 of A Plague Tale Requiem, you are going to reach the underground areas of the Arena. To go up you need to lower the central platform first.

But, there is a problem, a horde of plague rats will hinder you. The rats are scared of light so you will need to light up the brazier in the middle of the central platform to scare them away.

Lowering the Central Platform

Find this device to lower the doors of the other rooms in the area. Once you do this the horde of rats will come out. They will only be present on the ground so do not fall down.

Go to the first room on your right to obtain alcohol.

You need to reach this chest to obtain the alcohol

There are two meats in the room that you can shoot down to take the rats’ attention. Once the meat is down go down the ladder and climb the ladder on the other side to obtain the alcohol from the chest.

After obtaining the alcohol, go down the ladder and go up the ladder on the right to go back to the entrance of the room. Do this quickly.

Go to the other room on the left next. Go up the ladder and let Lucas turn the elevator.

Once you reach the other side, move the cart on top of the elevator.

Tell Lucas to stop so the elevator will descend.

Bring the cart closer to the wall. Use the crate as a stepping stone for you to reach the sulfur.

Use all of the alcohol and sulfur to make Ignifer.

Use your slingshot and pick the Ignifer as an ammo. Hit the brazier in the central platform with your slingshot to make the rats in the area go away.

Go down and find this opening. Shoot the brazier with your slingshot to light the room. There are chests in the room, open them to obtain more alcohol and sulfur which will allow you to craft more Ignifer.

There are spots that the light of the brazier or torch cannot reach. Use a pot to temporarily light these places up. You can also obtain pots in the area.

Go near the torch and hit the animal carcass to take the rats attention.

In the middle of the cages is a chest, open it quickly to obtain alcohol while the rats are occupied. After obtaining the alcohol go up the stairs.

Let Lucas turn this crank while you go to the other one.

Go down and head to this opening next to reach the other crank.

Light the next room by hitting the braziers and torches with your slingshot while using the Ignefir as ammo.

Hit the brazier with a rock and then light it up with Ignifer once its on the ground.

Throw a pot to reach the ladders.

Interact with the crank above.

Go to the platform quickly to finish the sub-chapter.
