A Plague Tale Requiem: How to Survive the Assault Chapter 10

A Plague Tale Requiem is a game that excels in establishing levels that allow players to be creative in sneaking past enemies or distracting them using the tools in the environment. As you progress through the game, you will learn all kinds of neat tricks on how to eliminate targets. All that you have learned will be useful in Chapter 10 during the Assault.

Amicia is left to fend off by herself an assault by a group of mercenaries. However, there are a lot of them. Most players can handle one or two mercenaries by themselves, but a group of them charging toward you is another story.

This guide will help you survive the Assault in Chapter 10. Let’s dive in.

How to Survive the Assault

These Mercenaries cannot be reasoned with. So it’s important that you eliminate them to prevent them from going near you.

Right off the bat, there’s going to be three mercenaries facing off against you. The key to easily eliminating them is to isolate your fights. Like in the picture below, focus on eliminating one target at a time while taking cover from the others. Use your slingshot to take them down from a range.

Watch out for the firebombs they throw at you. So, make sure you’re mobile, don’t just stay in one place.

You will also encounter a mercenary with a sword and shield. This mercenary is persistent, which means he is going to keep approaching you at close range while shielding himself from your long-range attacks.

Letting the shielded mercenary come close is a death wish. To counter his turtle playstyle, hit one of these sandbags in the area. If you manage to hit these while he is near, he will be temporarily stunned.

Once he’s stunned, that’s your chance to hit him with a slingshot to the head. You can also throw a Tar pot on the ground and then ignite it with a sling once they pass through it.

This will burn the enemies literally while also denying ground by making a fire in the area.

Make sure you use the items available to you and use the environment to your advantage. Mercenaries aren’t really that smart, so despite being several years younger, you can win over them with your creative advantage.
